Do you think that the NIL money is making players think they have no accountability
I believe not holding players accountable is why they act like they have no accountability at UGA.
We are not seeing an average of 10 incidents a year at other schools, we are not seeing multiple deaths at other schools with no consequences. We are not seeing other schools go after major news organizations that report on the issues at a school. Just UGA.
And yet despite that the UGA mantra is
It’s that way everywhere
UGA is a beacon on the hill for how to run a program
At UGA you have to earn everything
And on UGAs 247 site there is running debate on how to blame the women or ACCPD.
The Vols program isn’t perfect but damn atleast we own the few incidents we see, like most of the programs in the NCAA. It’s better to just address it and move on than let it fester like it has in Athens.

He played the game after the allegations were made and was a captain.
Any idea of the relationship between anderson & the coaches that would lead to that?? Of course not. Moving on...
It's really easy to make allegations. The last decade has provided multiple high profile false allegation cases where men's lives were ruined or permanently altered based on very little evidence. People hear "assault" and "rape" and go straight to cartoonish villians. In reality judges have to take this stuff with a BOULDER of salt and sometimes there really is just smoke, not an actual fire.
If you'd rather programs kick people out immediately, I'm sure you'd also love to sit in those athlete's shoes and lose your job, your social circle etc. without anyone at least investigating or giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Kirby is a more polished version of Jimbo Fisher. Back-stabbing wuss.

Sooooooo, Auburn has a new QB?

It’s hard to keep these things from happening. Georgia football is just the Bermuda Triangle for these things.

The UGA deflections to other things are so weird.
Auburn takes players with past issues and has for a long time... true. Guess what? How many times do you see them have issues once they are there? I think as much as we make fun of them for being rehabU.... its kind of worked? Meanwhile RaRa transferred to UGA and this is his second issue for the same thing
And then its the "all this NIL money...." Ohio St and Oregon are dropping absolute bags right now... where are the issues there?

Auburn is backwater hick town where they can control things, Athens a bastion of liberal progressivism where things aren't as easily kept a lid on....

Well, we live in a world with very divergent opinions on things customary in the old days.
If it is straight abuse, I would want him gone.
If it is the type of abuse our parents and teachers handed out in the old days with belts and paddles, I withhold judgement.
I got my arse beat daily growing up. I've been whipped with a switch off a rose bush. I've had my dad's name welted across my legs in reverse, etc.
But always on my rear/legs, never in my face or anything like that. And the legs was my fault really.
If that's all it is, I agree. But even in 2024 I find it hard to believe a simple spanking is going to bring a felony charge. I certainly hope not.
And for anyone crying about spankings being abuse, you are wrong. For normal kids who aren't pussies, it's the punishment you would pick when given a choice. It's much better than being grounded because it's over fairly quickly.
Of course, being grounded wasn't a 5 minute timeout either like today's soccer mom's. I got grounded for days and weeks at a time.
Even in school, they would give us a choice of punishments. I'd take the paddle every single time.

I like how people on this board are allowed to completely imagine that something happened and then it's accepted as fact.
Second degree cruelty to children means that you were smacking someone around in the presence of children.
Whatever happened with the kid was a felony charge. I don't know Georgia's law but I would be surprised if beating up a kids mom in front of the kid resulted in a felony unless he absolutely mauled her.
