Brandon Allen passed for fewer yards, fewer touchdowns, more interceptions, and had a lower completion percentage and passer rating than McCarron. Not only that, but McCarron has a shite ton more hardware than Allen does.

And not too mention, McCarron gets bonus points just for his wife.

Is it just me or is Mac Jones one of the most overrated QB’s on these lists? I feel like if he plays in 2012 without Smith, Waddle etc he’s basically AJ McCarron.

Put 2015 Brandon Allen on Bama and he throws 40+ TDs

Well… any of them except Joe Burrow who just took the fkn Bengals to the Super Bowl
They had the best of the best college players. I would admit that Burrow was one of the best but he's had a lot of talent surrounding him with the Bengals also. He has proven himself but we are talking about college rankings....and you would be lying if you said it always translates to the NFL....that is not true. That is why I said I was always skeptical about ranking these college QB's....

1. Joe Burrow
2. JFF
3. Dak Prescott
4. AJ McCarron
5. Mac Jones

Purely from the peak of their college career.

People give winning the Heisman too much credit and ignore the fact they have to give it to someone every year. Which is usually the QB on the best looking team before the bowls.

Joe Is a guy who makes everyone better around him. Does Vandy have LSU talent no but he runs an 9-4 team with Vandy though.
If you need an example look at Cincy being in SuperBowl year 2.

It's interesting to see just how much offenses have changed in the conference. The top six seasons for passing TDs are all within the last five years:

He threw for almost 4,000 yards as a rookie for the Patriots with a WR corps that was straight up arse.

Based on that one year Allen had as a senior? I doubt that. McCarron was consistent with second-rate receivers (Cooper not included) for his entire tenure as a starter.

Can't argue with that....but a 9-4 record at Vandy and he would not be considered "the GOAT" anywhere except at Vandy....he would still be a great NFL QB regardless.....but no one would have him in the top5...much less No.1 in the SEC....agreed ?

Bryce Young only has one year. Let's see. Surprised if he doesn't surpass a lot of those with one more season.

Okay. So what? You’re talking in hypotheticals. I’m talking about what actually happened. There is no statistical or objective data backing up the claim that Brandon Allen was a better college QB than AJ McCarron.

McCarron has the advantage in stats, wins, and hardware. There is no comparison.

Mac Jones- broke records without padding stats against Northwestern State, Georgia Southern and Utah St (and Vandy)

Burrow

Tua

Bryce/Manziel

McCarron (because he owns 3 NC rings bitches)

Bryce will top the list if Bama wins the NC this year.
