2010 Arkansas 12th
2009 Arkansas unranked
2008 Arkansas unranked
2007 Arkansas unranked

I doubt they care much about TV rankings
Why did their AD talk about NATIONAL BRANDING? It was a huge deal about moving to the SEC.

You sell more in your state
Which is almost 1/9th the size of A&M's.

I don't think anyone really considers Arky a "national" brand though
That's your opinion; being ranked 15th in a ranking like this for a team with such a relatively small state population suggests otherwise. Not saying Arkansas is huge everywhere around the US, but that it's just a bigger national brand than A&M.

I guess our definition of a national brand is different.
UF = Coke
Arky = Tab
Is that kind of what you mean?

So, nobody in the entire state of Arkansas owns a suit or a nice button shirt and a par of slacks? It's all Arkie gear for the hillbillies?
Huh?

Also note we are above the apathetic Missourians, despite the fact that their state has twice the population of Arkansas and is also a one horse state
Ok I'll bite. We have 6 professional teams in our state. How many do you have Arky?
Ok there's your explanation Porker.

No need to rent a tux for an Arkie Wedding. Just wear your hog gear...SUUUUUUWWWWIIIIIIEEEEE!!!!

The AD cares about National Branding to sell more shite, get better students and recruit better athletes just like all schools.
The they I was speaking of was their fans. I doubt they will be tracking TV ratings at all. Maybe I'm wrong and they will be on the Neilsen site 24/7 hoping to out shine little ole Arky.
You are obsessed either way and it may come back to bite you.

This is pretty pathetic... I'm starting to feel sorry for Arky...
Stop trying so hard piggies. You're in the SEC. All is well.

Ok.
A three month span after A&M had a horrible year and Arkansas reached historic heights proves you are a bigger brand?

In terms of states with only one major brand, with small populations, with no professional sports teams, Arkansas ranks very very very poorly.
Really, who does better?
You set the criteria so you tell me. We are talking state of 3 Million or less and no professional teams. Who does better on that list?
One school named Nebraska at 13 and Arkansas is at 15. Shut up.
Posted on 8/7/12 at 4:11 pm to DocBugbear
It's like they are afraid they're gonna get kicked out or something, now that A&M and Missouri are in. Relax, pigs.

That's your opinion
My opinion is that there are few or no national brands in college football. It's regional as a mutha.
Sure, an Arky shirt can be purchased in Maine but very few would call Arky a national brand. I doubt many would consider UF a national brand to the extent of comparing them to national brands like Coke, Heinz, Walmarks
Posted on 8/7/12 at 4:12 pm to Jon Ham
What should scare you pigs is that you've maxed out your SEC potential in Arkansas.
A&M is just getting started.

Congrats. You're better than two irrelevant non-SEC schools.

So relative to other schools like us,
You mean second tier schools in your own state that are supposed to be more like Texas and less like Baylor but are actually more like Baylor?

In terms of states with only one major brand, with small populations, with no professional sports teams, Arkansas ranks very very very poorly. Nebraska and OU blow you out of the water,
Oklahoma has a bigger population and both OU and Nebraska are traditionally two of the elite teams in college football history. OU and Nebraska were ranked 9 and 13 in this ranking, Arkansas was 15; so yeah, they really "blew us out of the water."

and they aren't in the SEC "piggie-backing" off Alabama, Auburn and LSU.
If anything, Bama and LSU keep Arkansas down; they have little to do with our national success.
