The new Mississippi flag rocks. I never particularly liked the old flag because growing up in a State family (my Dad and three uncles were State alums) I always associated it with ole miss. Seeing a sea of rebel flags when we played Ole Miss was nauseating.

And before any of you impugn me, my great great grandfather was a CSA veteran and his brother was killed in the Battle of the Wilderness in 1864. I appreciate all the sacrifices and hardships that the people in South endured during the Civil War.

The original Mississippi flag with the star and the Magnolia tree was sharp looking too.
But the new flag with the Magnolia looks sharp.
Plus our new license plates look clean and sharp with the Magnolia in the center.

The original flags should be made of silk.

Not plastic by-products like poly-ethaline.

It should show ferocity, and a willingness to NEVER be conquered.

but I'm honestly surprised that Georgia hasn't gotten pressured to change their flag by the NCAA
Especially since they're a blue state. Woke from the core.

Louisiana's flag is perfect for the State. Daddy Government giving all the handouts it can to its poor citizens that leech off it and refuse to leave the nest of dependency.

The Mississippi one is ugly. The state can’t come up with something better than the magnolia? It’s on their new license plates now. It’s so overdone. And a gold stripe on a blue and red flag? Ghetto.

They had better options during the flag vote. It does not stand out in a crowd.

Louisiana. Has the potential to be cool, but this one ain't it.

Potential? It’s the only state flag to feature blood on it.

FDL and French heritage does not represent the entire state. The pelican, however does.

That would be the equivalent of Tennessee adding a country music symbol to the flag. Sure, it’s a big thing in Nashville, but in no way represents the entire state.

That's a fair point. I'd like Louisiana's flag if it incorporated the pelican with a better design. I'm not crazy for symbols on a blue background. Many of the Northern states do that, although the real reason they do is to respect the Union.

Yep. 25 stars for being the 25th state and three interior stars for the three nations who have governed the territory. (Spain, France, USA)

As president Reagan was fond of saying ...... "there you (wokeism) go again".

You cannot erase history. Arkansas was part of a sovereign nation, the CSA. The stars represent the different nations we were associated with. If you drop the fourth, then you gotta drop all of them.

I don’t want to erase history but it is downright silly to honor a bunch of dipshits who attempted to break up the union on account of wanting to own humans as property

The CSA were a bunch of losers and I am glad they got their asses handed to them by the United States of America

Kentucky. Could be confused with NY, PA, MI... et cetera. It looks nothing like a flag of a Southern state.

Yep, Daniel Boone and Henry Clay aren't southern at all.
