he is the only PGA tour player I know of from Mizzou. He had one PGA tour win in 1989 at Chattanooga.

Doug Barron, Alexandre Rocha, Mike Whats-his-Name from the Senior Tour

I know of Rocha but didn’t know he went to State. Barron’s most known his suspension.

No idea who the guy is on the senior tour you’re referring to.

Rocha came in the pro shop one morning at State's course and a guy with him asked about the course record. One of the PGM guys said it was 63, I think. Guy says "Alex just shot 29 on the front and is quitting to go to lab"

His dad was a Brazilian ambassador, I think. He didn't get bothered by too much in college

That's pretty dang impressive.

also, not sure why this thread got anchored. Plenty of worse threads stay on here all the time.

It didn't get anchored. It's still on the front page for me

Braden Thornberry, a junior at Ole Miss, got done demolishing his competition at Old Waverly a little earlier today. He's the #1 amateur in America, reigning NCAA National Champion, and will likely be the #1 amateur in the world after his win today. The Rebels on tour are...not that

ETA: Nvm, it is anchored. Just slowly sinking

I like Jonathan Randolph because he was one of the last of a group of Jackson area kids who were supposed to be talented enough to make it on Tour. The others dropped off and he made a career for himself. It's not always the best golfer but the most determined, and sometimes the luckiest.
