i can agree with OP

Gilmore did like to bite on double moves though. but he is getting over that, so he will be good this year. now if we can just keep him on his feet lol

Janzen and Barron are clearly the best. You could argue either for the top spot.

I disagree that cockiness causes poor play.

Sometimes being cocky and overconfident causes you to slack off on your fundamentals and pre-snap reads. This gets you burned.

That's alot of GREAT safeties in the SEC

LSU and Bama won't be dropping off talent wise anytime soon either

it's a weak year for dbs this year imo. i'd put barron first, and he isn't even that great.

I love Lester but in my opinion threads like this (as well as the slights on Dre Kirk) just prove alot of fans just look at stats. (not just fans, he's popping up in alot of these way-too-early mock drafts as a 1st rounder....I'll believe that when I see it).

Lester, imo, is a little overrated now due to his INT total last year. Alot of those were "look what I found" picks (I do credit him for being in the right place at right time and making the play).

I do think both Menzie and/or Milliner are right there with Dre. I'm expecting big things from all 3 of those guys this year. Menzie is poised for a breakout season.

Disagree, at least for last year.

I meant he'll be right there (close at least) this year (in my opinion).

Also, keep in mind Milliner was a TRUE FRESHMAN starting at CB (not nickelback) in the SEC last year. Nothing more than one fall practice under his belt. He didn't even play CB in HS. Went from playing safety against high school kids in November/December 2009 to lining up on an island in front of Alshon Jeffery and others in an 80,000 seat stadium in Fall 2010.

I thought he handled himself pretty damn well considering the circumstances, and showed some flashes. He's about as good a combo of size and athleticism as you'll find at CB in the league. Just needs to put it all together.
