How do you rank your ENTIRE program if you ALLOW one SPORT to be WORTH 5 times MORE than the OTHER proGRamS?
Posted on 2/27/13 at 11:51 am to Lordofwrath88
Your scoring system is retarded. If anything football, baseball, and basketball should all be 10. I liked how you put 10 for football to make Alabama shine a little more.

For the mental midgets, you rank PROGRAM SUCCESS equally. NC's/SECT's are the same for X as they are for Y. Once you have your number and where it predominantly came from, fight it out after.
Think on it. Talking to you, Gumps.

quote:Well in all fairness football does seem to be the most important sport to all of the SEC. I dont think however that our gymnastic championships should count as much as baseball for LSU or South Carolina. Or Basketball for Kentucky of Florida. Nor should softball count like baseball but football is the most important sport
If anything football, baseball, and basketball should all be 10

Not really. Some sports bring in a lot more money and prestige to your program than others. Nobody is going to agree on a the "right" way to evaluate athletic program sucess, but it is entirely reasonable and in fact more realistic to give more weight to the major money producing and impactful sports.

So, you disagree on the method of evaluating athletic program success. No reason to get pissy.

I've got A&M at 418. We seem to have points in just about every sport and they add up. Lots of old SWC Titles in the majors as well.

Well, Football doesn't have sanctioned championships either....
In a lot of ways, College Football and Quidditch are more similar than you'd like to admit.
