oh please. 07 LSU would smash 08 bama

You must be kidding b/c LSU 07 barely beat a 6-6 Bama team how in the world is it a given they would beat bama 08 which is a much better defensive and offensive team than last year.

that's horrible logic. 08 LSU is obviously much worse than 07 LSU and it took the worst quarterback play LSU has had in any one game in at least 4 or 5 years for Bama to squeak a win out in OT.

yes but you act like J Lee just threw int to wide open receivers, dont you think the Bama defense had something to do with those picks with the pressure and not to mention the hit on Byrd that was neither Byrd nor J Lee's fault nobody hangs on to that pass with that big and well timed of a hit. All I'm saying is that considering the 07 team was as good as it was and it was unable to bury a team as bad as 07 Bama then there is no way that they bury Bama 08. They may win but it is still a close game. Besides I honestly think that if Bama starts that game like they did the Ga, Clem, and Ark game with out the first half turnovers I think Bama puts LSU away early this year. JMO

looks like most people agree on the top 5, after that it is a hair-splitting argument.

ETA: I wouldn't put LSU at #2. I'd have them at 4.
1. Fla
2. Bama
3. UGA
4. LSU
5. South C.

LSU <Would be in NC hunt this year with at least an anorexic cheerleader as QB.>
Auburn <The STREAK against Bama>
Miss St <The Croominator will continue his crooming crooms against his croomed victims>
Tenn <Tennstud and Fulmer have the best legal teams in the league.>
Ark <Player's parents no longer run the program.>
Vandy <All players can recite all prime numbers between 1-1000 in descending order.>
USC <Head coach comes up with insane offensive plays that are "just crazy enough to work.">
Fla <Only has one loss, but downgraded for emotional stability issues.>
Kentucky <RB Dixon's team mate in the backfield at Parrish, Al had Mason for a last name.>
GA <Best dressed team in the SEC.>
Ole Miss <Perennially near the bottom.>
ALA <Undefeated? Yes, but Saban's a dick.>

Makes as much sense as some of the crap I've seen in this thread.

just like an undefeated 08 bama smashed the worst LSU team in at least 6 years. transitive property doesn't work in college football

honestly, he just played a horrible game. it wasn't that the bama defense was that great, he just sucked. he was throwing balls in the dirt and over the heads of wide open receivers. it's gotta be difficult to throw over a 6'4" receiver that has a 40" vertical. my favorite was the 3rd down play where he could have ran for a first himself but he pulled up and threw that horrible lob out of bounds. it was painful to watch. he went around 30 minutes of game time without completing a pass to an LSU receiver

I've seen this a couple of times on this board, but it shows mathematical immaturity. Actually, the transitive property is true in all equations where you compare things. Always. It's a friggin' tautological principle fer cryin' out loud. Your error is simplifying a college football situation to a single variable, i.e. the score, or stats.

I wasn't lecturing you on stats, just fundamental mathematical principles you tossed around rather cavalierly old bean. Here in Gumpland, it's something we learn in the 5th grade. While I obviously went to an inferior school, your father's money was ill-spent if you majored in a hard science.

UGA did beat LSU soundly. So did Florida.

Florida to me though (even given the Ole Miss screw up) is the strongest team in the conference. Alabama at its best and Florida at its best = Florida win.

The SEC Championship will be the real NC game (as usual).

LSU should go to the sleet bowl in Dallas.

Georgia will get back to the Sugar Bowl since the Conference Champ will be headed to the NC game.

If that was from a Bama fan, it would be called delusional.
