at this point I think you'd have to like A&M and LSU, want to see more from Ole Miss, Auburn, and Arkansas and be a little disappointed (one game in) RE: Alabama and MSU. I am not implying Alabama is in the category of MSU - only that they look worse than expected (not at the top of the conference on offense on the basis of the first game)

LSU wins any tiebreaker with the Aggies just on strength of opponent.

To see Bama struggle mightily after losing all those quality OL is not a shocker, but to only manage 206 yards is...AJ looked lost and Yeldon was completely shut down.

I loved it..

206 yards total offense for Bama and you have them 4th?

I ddin't see Arkansas, Auburn, or State putting on better performance than them.

Well, no one saw State putting on a better performance than Alabama. But everyone who actually watched AU and Arkansas saw that the offenses were fine. We were VERY vanilla and while our linebacker play was pretty bad and secondary was mediocre at best, our offense clicked like a machine. We blew ULL off the line from the get go. I think the results from our first drive closed up the playbook.

Auburn's running game looked really good, QB play left a bit to be desired but still looked better than State by a mile and Alabama didn't run or throw all that well either.

Quick!

Raise your hand if you played a defense worth a dang in the first game!

Not so fast A&M, Arky, MSU, Auburn.

We shut down most of the 2nd half and played a ton of 2nd/3rd teamers with a 20 point lead. There were more points on the field to get if we wanted...

A lot of teams were in dogfights and trying to get all they could...especially the 2 teams you mentioned

Considering the quality of opposition...

You think AU scores much against VA Tech's D, or TCU's? Probably not.
