Dude took a team that went 3-7 the year prior and was below .500 3 of the 4 years prior to him taking over, and has them ranked again. 2017 - 2020 was the worst 4 season stretch in the history of Tennessee football. Don't love how he approaches defense...but there is no way he is 12th best in this league.

I agree that he has y’all going in the right direction. I would be slightly concerned with a low ceiling based on the lack of physicality the offense generally has . His defenses are usually gassed and therefore become soft .

I like him but I wonder about those things

putting heupel at 12 on a list like this is straight retarded. Especially when the person in question put people like harsin, napier, beamer, etc ahead of him. Based on where they put fisher though I imagine the entire post was facetious

Sorry but if you’d take Brian Kelly over Kirby, you’re an idiot lol

I've never seen Kirby rebuild a culture/team.

I have no idea if he can or not.

If it's at the moment, my top 5 preferences for building a team starting with the head coach:

1. Kirby
2. Saban
3. Pittman
4. Lane
5. Stoops

HMs: Napier, Kelly, Heupel

You see Mark Richt in the line of Nick Saban culture, I see. If that is the case, then you are right.

you live to do nothing but troll so I'm sure this isn't serious. BuUuUuUttt...kirby walked into a team with a medium amount of talent that was QBd by greyson lambert, had lost to GA tech 2 years prior, UT the year prior, UF the last 2 seasons, and SC 2 years prior. His first year he weeded out some losers and started upgrading the roster and still lost 5 games. Then stating year 2 to present it's been fully his culture and his team and the results speak for themselves.

But of course, you already know all that. Kirby shouldn't be penalized because his only HC opportunity is a better one than the pit of a job kelly has walked into.

i understand not a lot of folks think pittman should be in the top 4...but to Arkansas fans who had to live through the bert and chaggy eras and knowing the shape of the program, for Pitt to win 3 SEC gams in year 1 was nothing short of a miracle. There is a reason we say "i wouldnt trade him for anybody."

You guys only have a passing knowledge of where this program was. I was afraid to play UCA. I dont know what metric youre looking for to rank these guys. Usually this is just an opportunity for LSU , bama, and georgia to talk about their past success and compare trophy cases. Its another opportunity for their fans to piss on everybody else.

But for my money, give me Pitt. I am a huge saban fan and i respect him and i root for bama 2nd and consider saban the goat, but im taking Pittman today for Arkansas.

If you don't look at the actual games and just look at the win/loss column, then UCF has the same number of national championships as LSU the past 5 seasons. 2017 UCF = 2019 LSU

Either going into overtime against GA Southern matters or it doesn't. Either beating several teams by one score matters or it doesn't (3-9 GT, 5-7 Missouri, 7-6 Auburn, 7-6 Penn St)

I don't think there could be a better fit for Arkansas than Pittman.

UGA could say the same for Smart.

Bama wanted the best and they bought it. And continue to pay for it.

Kirby took over a team that went into overtime against Georgia Southern in their last home game under the previous coach. Kirby took over a team with a 7 point win over 3-9 Georgia tech team. Kirby took over a team that started faton bauta at QB against the Florida gators. Kirby's first year only had 1 drafted player (junior Mecole hardman). Kirby's first year only had 1 senior worth a damn (transfer from alabama, Maurice Smith). Kirby's first year was 8-5.

Kirby took over a team that went 9-3 the previous season and had averaged ten wins during the final four years of Richt’s tenure.

and ranked:

2011: 20th
2012: 5th
2013: NR
2014: 9th
2015: NR

It's laughable to go all the way back to 2011 when that has no bearing on 2016. Plus Richt was still doing pretty alright in those days, which is why he wan'st fired at the time. he was fired for finishing unranked in 2 of his last 3 seasons

yet finished unranked. Yall kep trying to skew the stats to point out what you want to...yeah 9 wins is "good" but how many SEC teams have you ever seen win 9/10 games and finish unranked? We sucked.

Richt wasn't fired for 2012 whihc was a tremendous season for us, so again not sure why that one keeps getting included. Richt's last 3 seasons finished unrnaked, 9th, unrankked.

Hey. Maybe UCF was the best team ever in 2017. They were undefeated.

Or maybe you can judge the quality of the team based on the opponent and how the team handled business.
2015 UGA was a bad, bad football team.

24.5 ppg scored was the worst offense in 20 years.
24.0 ppg allowed wasn't as bad as 2013(which was within your 4 year window) but it was the 2nd worst in 20 years.

2015 Georgia Southern lost to 6-7 Georgia State. But they took UGA into overtime with a chance to win (missed field goal as regulation expired) in Sanford Stadium. You can talk about wins all you want. I'm talking about a soft culture.

That turkey's just trolling. Kirby is going to be in the conversation one day with the top HC's of the modern era.
