You didn't specify time. What was the final stats for they year? Talk about being selective to fit an argument.

Sure I did. My question was who should have won the Heisman.

I think my work here is done.

Didn't Tebow's Heisman season the Gators lose like 4 times? Shouldn't be hard to throw him at the bottom.

That's what the Doak Walker is for. More manipulation and rewriting what the Heisman is.

Of course it is. It's a thread about ranking Heisman winners and you're trying to talk about nonwinners.

Using some of the arguments in here.. he had Percy Harvin too, and other stars to take pressure of of him.

1. Cam Newton
2. Herschel Walker
3. Tim Tebow
4. Bo Jackson
5. Danny Wuerfful
6. Billy Cannon
7. Mark Ingram
8. Steve Spurrier
9. Pat Sullivan
10. Frank Sinkwich

This is not how I would rank them as a pro, or how good they were overall. This is just for the 1 season they won it.

Hunter, stats don't tell the whole story. Ingram was not better than Bo or Walker. BUT, Ingram was the best his year and DID deserve the Heisman despite what some haters have chosen to believe

I agree with most of that...but I may put Tebow's season at #2, possibly #1A. 32 passing TDs, 23 rushing TDs...unreal. Cam had more yards on the ground, Tebow more in the air. It's debatable, I guess.

They all are good players. I agree, Tebow could be higher on my list.

For those that say Ingram wasn't the best runningback on his own team, I believe Fullwood had a better ypc average than Bo.

Super Sully!

Pat Sullivan would have had more rushing AND passing yards than Ed Marinara sauce if he'd been playing a bunch of Ivy League podunks.

While Sully was playing Bama, UGA, Tennessee, LSU, Clemson, Ga Tech, Florida, Ole Miss (with Daddy Manning), and Oklahoma, Ed Marinaro was playing Colgate, Dartmouth, Lehigh, Columbia, Harvard, Yale, etc.

frick Ed Marinaro.

In 3 games against Auburn, Ingram rushed the ball 41 times for 130 yards and 3 touchdowns.

I'm pretty sure Bo had more than than in one game.

(Oh, and Bo was a two-time consensus First Team All-American.)

The one thing that sets Cam Newton and Tim Tebow apart:

During Cam's Heisman year, Auburn won the National Championship. During Timmy's Heisman year, Florida lost against Michigan in the bowl game. Tebow also had more playmakers around him when passing.

I know what you mean...but the Heisman isn't a team award (well, sometimes it isn't) If it was, RG3 wouldn't have won this year. Just looking on paper, that Tebow season was equally impressive to Cam's, which is why I said 1A.
