Dad of one of my daughters BB teammates.
He went to NOLA for the game. He said he had been warned about LSU fans but didn’t really think much about it.
He was speechless about the behavior displayed towards them.
I just laughed and told him he should experience a game at TS to get the true experience.

You are also talking about in NOLA, likely in or around Bourbon St. What did he expect? Anything in New Orleans is going to be magnified X10.

Yeah, I didn’t get the details because the game tipped off, just laughed.
Might be able too tonight at practice if I see him.

cool story. I watched clemson fans throw beers at and try to steal my buddies sign (dabo corndog sign) also saw another clemson fan pour a beer out on an LSU fan below his balcony which was unprovoked.... but yea... our STTDB chant is OUT OF CONTROL

An overwhelming majority of the LSU fan base are great, welcoming, friendly, cordial people.
I will say however that their rowdier fans ... are far worse than that of any other SEC fanbase.

You and that guy has something in common.
Both lost bowls games.... Losers

That's all they and y'all have to hang onto - 'LSU fans' behavior.
What about the Clemson and LSU fans tailgating and sharing meals and comraderie in the FQ, in the Convention Center, all down Poydras, in Champions Square, in Walk-Ons, and even in the stands?
With 150,000 LSU fans and 50,000 Clemson fans in the City that weekend, I'm sure there were some isolated incidents of 'disagreement.'
But I never saw anything like that. If anything, most of the purple and orange were too busy having fun in NOLA. And many of them were partying with the purple and gold.
Don't make up shite you don't understand...

Damn y’all sensitive. Go ahead and cancel me bitches.
I’m not making anything up. Just telling you what the man said. Honestly, I was just thinking the guy is used to going to games in Raleigh, Chapel Hill etc...and not used to the SEC fan type.

Well... ...we kinda take that as a source of pride.

This is true despite what people think. I know from personal experience, the only visiting fans that get treated like shite around our tailgate are the ones asking for trouble....otherwise we treat them like family.

...and I can’t help but remember our game down there in 2000 (for a number of reasons), capped off with a pre-teen girl getting in my face saying “we kicked your arse”..
To her credit, she didn’t take a swing at me.

Think this is fairly accurate. I saw a lot of clemson fans get really rattled and upset by stuff that would have made bama, aubie etc fans chuckle. I think it's just a much softer fandom out there

One of the best times I’ve had at games is when LSU fans came to town. We shite talked while they gave me a drink and some damn good food. I’ve never had any problems with LSU fans at all.

I guess there will always be a few, but the Clemson fans as a whole were about as nice as could be in a atmosphere of that magnitude.

It's how cajuns are. They'll punch you in the arm to size you up. If you laugh and punch back, they share their food and drink with you. If you cry, then they get mean, frick with you more and laugh at you.
It's just how we do.
