The fans in the hog pen routinely research the left fielders of opposing visiting teams to personalize the heckling as much as possible. The over-sensitivity is nauseating.

LSU fans still calling Tebow on his cell phone? Just the gay ones......oh wait..........I already said LSU fans.

This was clearly racist and it's no different than telling a black person to go back to Africa or a white person to Europe

I thought the kid was actually from uruguay?

Okay let's break this down....let's say someone says to a mexican, go back to Mexico! Or build the wall! It's meant to demean a person and has a racial undertone.

Except he's actually from Uruguay... and you clearly have no idea what racist means. Absolutely nothing about this is racist. Uruguayan isn't a race.

I doubt Auburn is worried about the kid’s feelings.
It’s probably more a marketing issue (i.e.heading off any potential fallout before it arises).

Welcome to 2020 ... We didn’t start the fire.

I hope he survives this horror too.

The fan is a dumbass and I do like to see dumbasses pay for their dumbassery so I’m torn but I hope this doesn’t get any bigger play than it already has because in this day and age it could blow up and truly impact his life which would be far worse than his dumb comment.

If the TV mics hadn't picked it up, they wouldn't have done a thing. This is absolutely an image thing. Sure, kick the kid out and tell him to sober up. Banned? Absurd.

He is. Apparently, telling someone to return to their native country is racist. When he filled out his college application, he didn't check white, black, asian. He check Uruguay.

Difference?

One is a backwards place where the majority of people live by third world standards and read at elementary school levels and the other is Uruguay.

Thanks for breaking down. Maybe you should revisit your last post and see the difference.

Xenophobic for sure, but not racist.

Telling someone to go back to their country isn't racist. At most it's xenophobic. Not the same thing. Educate yourself.

Again, Uruguayan isn't a race, it's a nationality.

For the record—since your post has been edited since my previous comment—I want to clarify that I agree with this.

Basketball, baseball, and hockey are 3 sports that come to mind where opposing fans openly heckle opposing players and teams. frick this gay Earth with all these hyper-sensitive people.

Try even lightly ripping a player on your favorite MLB team on the internet these days during a 162 game season. Weak bitches have fully taken over baseball fandom. They feel like they have to protect the players' feelings, even though they're shrugging off their performances with $200 dinners.
