We have heard several disturbing things about Steele's possible psychological breakdown during the Orange Bowl game. Multiple sources have said that he was calling plays from his days with the Panthers, which aren't in the Clemson playbook, and as such the players were totally confused. It reportedly happened during the Auburn game as well. I do not know if that is true, and frankly think it a bit farfetched, but I do know that Steele has a reputation for being a nervous wreck on gamedays. I'm sure most of you recall that he passed out on the sidelines during a game, and I have heard many times that he requires an IV for fluids because he's such a wreck and won't eat at all on gameday. Hopefully he can get these things corrected for his own health."

I hope Currie calls him 10 times a day demanding an interview in Knoxville this week.....offering $8million to take it and resign immediately.

Looks like he's finally somewhere he feels comfortable and where he can thrive

That's fine. We'll be perfectly happy keeping him.

Wow, here we go again. UT fans out to destroy another coach's reputation. Steele probably told them to go pound sand.

He was a linebackers coach from 95-98 with the panthers. And in 2011, he was calling plays from a team that he didn’t call plays at?

No idea what his nervous wreck status is on game days, but that’s pretty far out.

Knoxville has been known to have a calming effect on coaches. Should be fine imo

We heard this same story when LSU hired him.

Saban fixed him. He's cured.

But I get your point. Just giving Vol fans ammo in case they need it. Where's the deposition?

In his second game as HC at Baylor they were up 3 or 4 (can’t remember) against UNLV and inside the 10 with like 20 seconds left. Instead of kneeing and getting a rare win for Baylor at the time he tried to punch in a TD.

UNLV stripped it and returned it for a TD to win the game as time expired. Prob the most Baylor football moment ever

And Greg Schiano is currently one of the hottest recruiters in the nation and was willing to coach your shitty team. Good lord

That sounds like something Dooley would do. Is he still coaching? Maybe bring him back. One of the UT posters still thinks Dooley wasn't given a fair shake after the Kiffin debacle he inherited.

He sure as shite didn't have one against Bama. I'm disappointed the REC didn't have this knowledge and use it to their advantage last Saturday.
