Not the biggest in the sport of football like we did last year, which is good because it saves us the inevitable graphic ESPN touted in every. single. game. the last two years.

Knight is a better runner than Hill ever was. That is not a good thing for you
LOL at his 53% completion percentage. Also rushed fro a grand total of 42 yards on 12 attempts last weekend. Yup, I'm not scared.

Your qb has negative rushing yards.

Better hope he has a great day passing to keep the game close. If not you are literally screwed.

Y'all are gonna rush Garrett straight up the field for the entire first half and we will draw game you to death. Our QB has negative rushing yards because he chooses to stay in the pocket, he's proven he's a tough, athletic runner before. He has a 67% completion percentage to Knight's 53% so I think you better hope Knight has a good day. I think we can live with Allen having an average one.

Yes because our QBs rushing yards have really mattered in the past.

The OL is huge. They are shipping each one to Arlington on his own flatbed truck.

This summer a group of sumo wresting agents were in NEA to find the secret of weight gain.

They were really interested in the coach.

Players not so much.

One thing people seem to be forgetting is that we have always struggled at the beginning of the year getting the Oline and running game together. This year has probably been the best in the last three years to this point. Still some issues to work out but they will continue to improve.

what happened in the first half?

Did you notice the change in coverage in the 2nd? Surely you did...went to a bend/don't break.

shouldn't have missed a scoring opportunity in the redzone...got to clean that up

Austin Allen has had more clear shots at him through three games this year than his brother did the last two years combines. I have watched every play of every game and this Oline is struggling in spots. Skipper is playing All SEc type LT right now. Ragnow is a beast and Froholdt is coming along. Raulerson is solid but we have been getting killed on the right side and the backs are not blocking like Collins did. Trust me I know what I am talking about.

The 2015 OL got zero push against UTEP, Toledo, and Tech

I'm not sure what you think the point of an offensive line is if you consider that playing better

You can make the argument that they won one quarter of that game.

Do they have a massive OL again this year? How does the running game look compared to the last 2-3 seasons? How is the defense?

They're big, but not super experienced; we're still shuffling the lineup, vacillating between putting the best 5 on the field, and putting the 5 that can be the best at the end of the year. Thankfully Ragnow can play anywhere, which has allowed us to be flexible around him on the interior, and Skipper has been an anchor at LT. This is kind of a patchwork year-- the talent is there, but much of it is inexperienced; its how a senior transfer from Texas has come in and played so much right away. The stability offered is pretty important.

The running game is a work in progress. We severely miss Collins, in that he had the skill to read, cut, and go. RW3 is a more physical runner like Johnathan Williams before him, but isn't even nearly in the same league as Collins at making that one unaccounted for guy, miss. He's not as much a big play threat as Johnathan Williams, but he is a reliable fall-forward type guy, with enough speed and ability to grind out 100 yard games.

Whaley is our home run guy, but he's still putting it together. He needs reps and opportunity, and is lost as a pass blocker-- but, at some point this year he's going to piss off two SEC teams-- one that he beats nearly singlehandedly on big plays, and Arkansas for a crushing freshman mistake.

Kody Walker is Walker. Too big to be much more than a short yardage grinder/hammer. The fullback is a work in progress, since we've moved Walker back to TB-- the run blocking has a long way to go, but he may be the best receiver out of the backfield we've had since Hillis.

The defense is pretty good. Think of them as being where they were the month before the LSU/OM shutouts of a couple years ago-- for the first time since joining the SEC, we actually have a two deep of SEC linebackers, and a starting set that actually lives up to that billing-- before we've hoped we had that depth, and invariably had someone get hurt or be a big letdown.

The secondary is a little thin. Pulley's emergence as a corner is going to say a lot about the ultimate record of this team. They're slightly better at forcing turnovers, and notably better at limiting YAC.

The defense will get gassed, if the running game doesn't pick it up a little. Instead of 2 or 3 game-grinding drives that eat up long periods and give the defense extended regrouping time, they're much spottier this year, mostly due to inconsistency in the run game.

Overall, it is still a work in progress, but appears to be a better baseline than in the past.
