Question: with Odell passing out $2000 to LSU players on national TV in plain view....

why so long for the NCAA to investigate and why did LSU wait until they were served with the NOA before taking self-action, hoping to defer even more severe penalties that may be coming down?
If the LSU admin saw it on TV back then (the whole WORLD saw it), why didn't they do something about it then?
Just asking.

You mean, Monopoly money? Geez, in that case I'd double the penalties that will be coming their way.

I honestly don’t see what the problem is. All the guys he gave money to went pro (I think). As soon as that clock struck 0:00 in the National Championship game (which we won, 3 times since UGA last did) those guys have no obligation to follow rules to keep them amateurs.

LSU did address it the next day or respond toit by collecting the money and returning it... wink, wink.
The other stuff regarding a rogue booster I believe was more of an issue. It may have been delayed due to legal reasons because that guy was being prosecuted for embezzlement unrelated to LSU.

Imagine if a program like Arkansas or Missouri had done that. The NCAA would have given us the death penalty

I tried to do something about it but then some guy running a foundation at OLOL gave me $180k t keep my mouth closed so I did. He mentioned something about the money being stolen from kids with cancer and I enjoyed the money even more

This mentality is dumb. He could have promised them before the game and just paid them after, so would certainly be a violation.
