and goes to Team B and gets another shot at the NFL. Which university gets to claim said player?
A new wrinkle in the ever evolving "What Schools Gets to Claim a Player?" game

About a medical waiver they have granted to other players for similar issues. I know nuance is difficult for swamptards.

Did you change your favorite team to LSU in hopes people would forget you posted this when you were a Black Bear fan?

1. Attempting to pick and choose means you've lost the argument.
2. One of the best punters in LSU history.

In a year he was never going to play because he was buried on the depth chart behind a few guys that helped lead them to a national championship. So they retroactively thought: “how can we try to keep the young qb a bit longer…. Oh I know. Sore throat”.

I guess it depends.
Did he get his degree? I think where you get your degree from plays a pretty large part.
On the other hand, did coming back help him get a better draft pick (presuming they can re-enter the draft) and therefor more money? I think that also lends a lot to the "claim."
He's not a returning pro, but it echoes a bit the transfer of Jalen Hurts. He wasn't a bench player at Alabama, he was a starter one year and came off the bench to win the SECCG on another. He got his degree from Alabama, *BUT* his year at Oklahoma was what elevated his draft stock (I seriously doubt he goes first round if he stays at Alabama). If going to OU had not helped him get a better draft pick, I'd say he'd be Alabama's to claim, but with OU's boost to get him to a first round pick I'd say they get equal claim because his NFL prospects catapulted with his last season there.
So... it depends, I guess.

No one ever said that LSU fans made good coherent arguments. Well no one other than LSU fans.
