What are some decent places to grab local beers in Starkville? Mayhaw is the only one that pops up as a brewery. Thanks in advance

Opened up a new brewery around the old capes steakhouse if I'm not mistaken.
But hit up a bar. Cotton District has some decent options mostly a college kid scene tho. Downtown has a few good places.
Dave's Darkhorse is a tavern and has the sketchy af vibe but I love it.

Yeah you probably know more than I do about specific bars to drink the best beers. I just perfer to drink I a good setting and I honestly haven't gone wrong in really any spot I've tried in Starkville.

I don’t see how you can go wrong at any college town drinkery where you can pull up a stool and enjoy some local dialogue.

There are plenty of good places. Just depends on where. The cotton disctrict but a lot of students (younger crowd but fun).
Some really good eats more low key and good choice of beers etc. To each his own. When I hit Baton Rouge we usually go to a place called Chimes.

Dave’s just appears sketchy. The crowd usually isn’t that sketchy at least wasn’t wfen I was at State. Usually just more hipsterish instead of redneck or frat stars like the others bars.

You'd be surprised. Most people in Dave's are on some form of substance. That Lamb Pizza is on point tho.

Didn't know Rosey Baby was back open. I would steer clear of it just because how many times it has opened and closed.
Dave's is the spot. It was the first place I ever had Chicago style pizza. The have regular style pizza also. all of it is good as so is everything on the menu. beer is cold. decent selection for dive spot.
