We tend not to worry about garbage time stats.
And we tend not to worry about MSU football. Of course, that bites us in the arse every 15 years or so

Man, you're getting a lot of mileage out of one win in 15 years. Is this what it's going to be like when Cohen can finally beat Mainieri?

Question for MSU fans regarding your defense giving up 341 yards passing to 2014 LSU:

Does that worry you that your defense allowed that?

I would be much more worried had we given up 302 yards rushing, 268 yards passing, and lost the game.

Well your previous 14 years, the football team was a lot better than last year. So him saying that you don't need to improve means....

Nevermind. Not worth it.

So are you predicting a State beatdown of LSU?

I'm asking a question, since all of a sudden LSU is supposed to be a favorite to make the playoffs and dominate this game, per several people.

My opinion, it should be a competitive game. Second game of the year against the first real competition for both. Should be plenty of mistakes/opportunities for both teams. Question is who will capitalize.

No, his job was to realize that DJ Welter wasn't a starting SEC MLB.

With our offensive philosophy we HAVE to be able to make the defense guess on if it will be a pass or run. Last year we did not do that. People bitch that our coaches have a problem with being predictive but shite if we don't have a qb you have to play with what you got. That led to us having to pound the rock into continuous 9-10 men in the box. You can't do that and be a consistently winning program. I don't care if you have the fridge at fb and Hershel walker at rb. If we can get our qb to complete 10-15 passes and be around the 70% mark we will have a good season. Time will tell.

Do we need to improve from MSU game last year to beat MSU? Probably not
Do we need to improve from the end of the season to beat MSU? No

LSU got behind too far too soon to try and run the ball much in that game so it makes sense to have more passing yds (even in garbage time). Its not like Les was going to throw in the towel and just hand it off. Especially against a team they had beaten 14 straight times and at that time hadn't beaten anyone.
