You guys are just gonna let him linger on until he turns you into what Miami has been over the past 5 years. I'd fire him for anything worse than 10 wins and a trip to the SECCG. Miles still hasn't proven he can do better than 2 losses.

What's his buyout like? And aren't most of your 2011 kids Louisiana guys that are gonna be at LSU regardless of who is coaching?

i'm not sure of the exact figure. i think it was somewhere around $18 million after this past season.

could be the case. but SEC recruiting is getting tougher every year. lots of kids going out of state to play.

they're still so caught up on getting a "Michigan man." especially now that their Rich ROd experiment of going outside their norm isn't working out very well.

Yeah if they had a lick of sense they would look and see how getting a "Bama Man" worked for Bama in our coaching hires. So far we're 1 for 3 with'em. they ought to just suck it up and find the best coach they can.

the coaching carousel and recruiting are almost as fun as the actual season for me.

I didn't see Les Miles future being based on one game.

It's not so much that as it is the fact that LSU will not continue to settle with 9-3 and 8-4 seasons while losing to Bama every year, as we did during the Cholly Mac era. This is a different program now than it was back then and the University, players, and most of all fans are not going to settle for mediocrity.

Had Miles beaten Bama in 2009, there would be a lot less pressure on him right now.

It's not just the Saban thing, most rational fans are past it. It's more about who you need to beat to win the west and right now the road goes through Bama. It used to be AU and losing to Auburn used to be cause for pressure on a coach. We haven't had to worry about that for 3 yrs now.

No one game will cost any coach his job, or 2 or 3 or 4. It is the performance of the team as they should improve during the season.......Did the lost by a small Louisiana team cost Saban his job......?

Regarding how LSU feels about Saban, I can truthfully say I despise him as a man and as FB coach at UA. But, I'd take him back in a New York second.

Unfortunately....probably not.

. I know you guys can't wait to get after Bama after the no-call last year,

We've got a lot more problems than 1 call in a football game.

but it seems to me that the majority of you guys are over Nick Saban and just want to win championships

This.

Never had it out for Nick after he left LSU in the first place....

Just want to win the West and get to Atlanta.

Whether LSU loses to Bama or beats Bama will have nothing to do with whether or not Miles retains his job. Gumps sure do think highly of themselves!

Eff Saban. Please....come back!

Nightmare: Les Miles for five more years, 8-4 record, Capital One Bowl every year.

Dream: Les goes 8-4 in 2010, RichRod is out at Michigan, Les goes there, we get Saban back.

Reality: Les Miles for five more years, 8-4 record, Capital One Bowl every year.
