That’s the most disappointing thing of the season so far. I’ve hated his playcalling, both boring or pussified at times then ignorant at other times. I know he inherited a hell of a mess but part of being a coach is dealing with what you got- it’s not like he’s going to have bamas roster here ever.

Chad Morris doesn't play that slow. Something tells me we're stupid and just can't do it.

But you're right, Morris needs to adapt.

Why is Arkansas such a hot topic around here? There are plenty of bad teams. Why not discuss them instead of the Hogs and only the Hogs?

Sorry, but it's annoying.

Kate, I’m sorry but no one is persecuting Arkansas any more than anyone else that is struggling

And it’s just the circle of life around here, don’t take it personally

it’s not like he ran them into the ground to Kansas status

Who do you think recruited this bullshite roster. The O line, his supposed bread and butter, consists of one upperclassmen that was actually recruited to play on the O line. Other than that there are 2 converted d lineman and 2 freshmen. There have been some injuries, but because the fatass only had 13 on the roster Arkansas couldn’t even field a full 2 deep until last week. The QB situation goes without saying and the best receiver on the roster appears to be a true freshmen that Morris flipped from SMU when he was hired.

If anybody watched the Titans vs Texans yesterday, this was a situation where the Titans were missing their QB, left tackle and several other players. However, Vrabel didn't just stand there, do the same things he otherwise would have, knowing he didn't have the players to make it work. He had to get creative and introduce some new things.
Titans vs Texans

Morris is not the first coach to find himself in a situation where his team can't run what he would prefer. A lot of coaches just can't bring themselves to try things outside their comfort zone. They think they will get criticized for doing something unorthodox or retro, if it doesn't work.

Single wing, Wing T, whatever. He needs to figure out something the current collection of players can effectively run.

I disagree in this case. This team was never going to win more than 4-5 games. Why spend time on something you aren’t going to run in the future when you aren’t going to get bowl eligible anyway. I prefer having the younger guys learn his system now and only win a couple of games vs delaying their development and winning 4.

Tyler Wilson doesn't play defense. I'd think that is more of a worry at this point. Arky can't catch up with a run game when the defense is too porous and the Arky run game has been an integral part of its offense the last several years.

The defense held UNT to 3/16 on 3rd down, 3 YPC on the ground and 6 YPA in the air. Those actually aren't bad numbers. When you give them short fields with SIX INTERCEPTIONS it makes it tough to do anything well.

It seems like there is not a QB on the Hog roster who can run Chad's offense

The upperclassmen definitely can't...still holding out hope on the freshmen but 99% of freshmen aren't going to look good against SEC defenses regardless, much less with the awful OL that we have.

Yeah, I don't blame any of the loss on the D. They were serviceable.

At one point UNT had 17 points and only 48 yards of offense... all coming off interceptions.

99% of this loss is on the offense. We should be able to score 40+ points on a pay-to-win team.

Yeah- he's obviously not watched us this season or just being an LSU fan and trying to put the blame on Chavis. Our defense sucks but is still our best unit.

Is Chad Morris still going to be a better version of Gus like y'all were saying a month ago, or nah?

Hard to say. I doubt there are any other coaches who could do any better given the talent on this team. I said last year we did have one player who could start for any other SEC team. This year we may not have one that would run second team.
