Let me give you an example:

How would you feel about "COFH" against GT being played every year @ the Ga. Dome/M-B Stadium where it's just down the road from the GnaTs?

That's exactly how I see fault with Jax.

Also isn't a yearly game.

Let's say in that scenario we have UF as a home and home. So then COFH is our only neutral site game. Otherwise, the instant answer would be no, since 2 neutral site games would be bad for our home slate.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind it. If the history of the rivalry was that it was always played in the professional stadium in Atlanta, why not? We already wipe the floor with them in their own stadium every other year, so why not just play in a nicer venue?

I wasn't talking about 2 neutral site games. I was giving you the same "image" I see is wrong with WLOCP being in Jax.

&, I see in your 1st sentence, you decided to swap the WLOCP as a H/H setup. Why shouldn't it be H/H for all games?

& as to the "history" aspect - what's wrong with the history being written @ Sanford Stadium?

I was merely equalizing the scenario, and then explained exactly why I was doing it. I didn't want to make UF a H/H, but was doing so to neutralize any arguments regarding two neutral site games in the same year.

Going back to the topic at hand... Because tWLCOP is one of the greatest traditions in College Football. Since the 1930's we've been partying and watching great football in a great environment. Anyone who has been down there recognizes how amazing and fun the experience is, and I imagine all the former UGA players would agree with how great the atmosphere is/how fun it is.

The problem you have with Jacksonville is really a moot point in today's age where the team can get down to Jax in an hour flat. The team can easily get there and avoid any "travel bug", and the location brings the state's team closer to some fans who might not be able to make it up to Athens every year.

No shite. It probably takes the same amount of time for UF to drive to Jacksonville than it does for Georgia to fly. The crowd split is always 50/50 and it's arguably the best environment in college football. Why screw that up?

Said that in an earlier post, but it got lost in the shuffle.

It being a yearly game makes it easier for the players to make the trip. They know exactly what to expect

Just gotta keep me away from doing any O-Bombs. Makes me think I'm as big as Ben Cleveland.

Exactly! What other neutral site game in the NCAA do fans spend all week hanging out and partying with their biggest rival's fans? I have never seen a fight or hostility anytime before the game. Now after the game the drunk winners are usually a little obnoxious which leads to some hostility, but overall a very fun and inviting environment to anyone.

I'm way beyond my bomb days. When I was 21-22, I shot car bombs like they were shutting down the Guinness brewery

WLOCP and Red River Shootout are the only ones and they should never change

ETA: Navy/Army is neutral too and should always stay that way, but their fans/students aren't getting blackout drunk for 3 days in Philadelphia before the game

I’ve always enjoyed Jax. Fans on both sides are at it to have a good party and maybe a win.

When I lived in Atlanta I dated a girl who’s sister went to Georgia. What I remember most is how far north it was from Atlanta. The stadium and atmosphere was awesome.

Of course I had to talk slow and wait for a response but overall nice people. They sure had some pretty girls. Wearing their red and black.
