The SECCG is the reason OT was introduced in college.

I remember the bowl games had OT on a trial basis for at least a year before the OT became official. I don't know if that went for CCGs as well.

Yeah they had something similar to the current OT except you started at the 30 I think.

I asked the same question a few years ago and someone remembered from the first SECCG
