When he was at LSU, I believe he had a clause that said the athletic dept had to increase his salary to equal the highest paid coach in college football. Does Alabama have to increase his salary to equal Jimbo Fisher's?

Saban’s salary is already higher than Jimbo’s.

You don’t even know what he’s making this year do you?

His contract is whatever he wants it to be whenever he wants to change it.

He just tells them to sign it or else.

As it should be.

The same way you knew about a specific detail in his LSU contract.

He’s pulling in $11mill this year. His salary is already more than JF’s.

Pretty sure Saban could literally set his own salary with no input from AD at this point.

The man gets whatever he wants. At this point, he’s earned the right to call the shots.

Actually, I read that it was the deal Miles had with LSU.

I wonder how a clause like that works if two coaches get that in their contracts?

Pretty sure Saban's contract requires a renegotiation only if he is outside the top 5 in the country or top 3 in the SEC.

saban's deal at LSU was. win a national title and he gets bump to at least $1 more than the highest coach at the time.
