The physical abilities maybe not. But the football IQ is highly sought after in the. FL

If Ewers is what I believe him to be, is Sark completely incompetent or is Arch a bust?
I think Sark knows he has a rare opportunity with a physically gifted player who by virtue of winning the ancestral lottery has an understanding of the game at a level few kids come out of HS with.
He has been intentionally bringing him along slowly to give Arch (and subsequently himself) the best opportunity for success.
Whether it plays out that way will be something we see over the next 24 months. I feel about as good about it as one can feel for a QB with limited on-field work to make a determination on. No guarantees until it’s proven on the field.

What???
If you're facing 11 guys trying to stop your running game, you have the most poorly designed offense of all time.

I think we'll be fine with Sayin and St. Clair.

Do you seriously not see his arm strength and say “yeah that’s not going to cut it at the next level.” It’s very easy to see.
Fair point. He’s had some accurate long balls this year but also plenty with too much air under it, etc. The other concern I’d have is a lot of tipped balls by DL all year.
I’m not saying he’s the next Dan Marino but with the right coaching and situation he could be a serviceable NFL QB. I doubt a great one but serviceable.
In any case his biggest problem all year was an overrated OL that often couldn’t protect him from a 4-man rush. Had a domino affect.

We don’t know what Arch is. Anyone who says they do is speculating.
Arch played in 3 games earlier in the year. We've seen what he can do. He is way more athletic than Ewers and has a better arm.
My big "what if" for this season is what if Quinn had opted for the draft last year and Arch would have been the starter this year.

His injury really set him back as well.
Imo. Almost like he lost his fire.

May not have been against the best competition, but if qualifying his QB rating and QBR would have both led the nation. And his advanced and per pass numbers are virtually identical to Mac Jones’s in 2019

So if Arch is legit, why did Sark keep starting an obvious stiff?

Sark said this was Ewers team all year, he was ride or die after investing 3 seasons in Quinn. I’m sure there were verbal agreements behind the scenes, plus Sark likely didn’t want to pull the plug on Quinn and destroy his future NFL prospects(RIP anyway). And throwing Arch to the wolves unprepared midseason could have compromised his development
Sark’s history as an underdog QB may have played a part in his loyalty to Quinn as I’m sure ex-qb’s hate to admit they were wrong about “their guy”
Another thing people are forgetting is the offensive scheme was tailored to fit Quinn’s skill set these last few years, not Manning’s. That will change moving forward, but it’s not something you can change midseason
