Amazing how Boise St scooped him up after only one year. I wonder why : LINK

7-5 in one season at Arkansas State following Malzahn (9-3) and Freeze (10-2).
You’re on fire. Have any good stock tips.

It shows they don’t care if you lose to western Kentucky or Louisiana Lafayette?

What has BSU done while he was there? And why hasn’t anyone outside of Idaho and the Irons household ever heard of him?

Had double digit wins in 5 of the last 6 years (had 9 wins on year). He won a Fiesta Bowl victory. That is better than most on the list.

Nope, I was basing who I wanted on the list. Freeze was the only one that excited me and still wished it was him. If Harsin was on the list, he wouldn't have trumped Freeze, but I like what I have seen. Mainly I wanted someone who could develop a QB, something this league lack and especially at AU. Wasn't excited about any of the rest with the exception of Elliot, only because I think he could have been a great recruiter in a league that lacked minority HCs. Sark would have checked the block, but I didn't think AU would go in that direction. Not fluffing Harsin, just think he meets the needs to be successful.

Auburn is a Big 6 program, and your BOT and crazy money men screwed up the entire coaching search. They left out Allen Greene in the process and exposed Auburn as a dysfunctional operation. The hunt is mercifully over and Auburn can now move on and welcome a fresh start on their entire coaching staff.

Comes from a different level and kind of football. Could be a good hire, maybe not. Certainly underwhelming, no one is shaking. But maybe it will work out for you.
No, but he has proven himself at two HC stops.

Why does freeze bring excitement? He cheated at Ole Miss and still didn't win anything.

He was the principle play caller for Texas in 2010.
He managed this number of points against the following opponents:
Texas Tech-24
UCLA-12
Oklahoma-20
Nebraska-20
Iowa State-21
Baylor-22
Kansas State-14
Oklahoma State-16
Texas A&M-17
They scored a ton of points against teams like:Rice, Wyoming and Florida Atlantic
I think I would slow my roll before declaring him an offensive savior. Like SOG said...he might be good. But touting his OC duties at Texas and calling him an offensive oriented coach might be stretching things a bit.
ETA
BTW, Texas ended with a 5-7 record that year.

It was a decent list that cast a wide net. Something that AU hasn't done in the past. That is what impressed me with the list. I think I stated that.
Freeze was the only one that excited me, because he developed QBs. Which should be the first and biggest criteria. Elliot was an exciting thought because he was a minority and I think a minority at one of the Big 6 could be a slam dunk.

Auburn? Not so much.

But Napier is a slam dunk ?
Why is that ?
