Fair enough. I didn't see his comment, I've just seen the same comment about 50 times in the last 24 hours.
I don't think it will be Elko or any coach with a good shot at a playoff run this year, unless they figure out a way to do it behind the scenes. Even then, I think it'd leak because of recruiting and the portal.

Dude this is college sports. Schools do dumb shite all the fricking time. Look at UNC and what a mess they have with Belichick. South Carolina gave Paul Mainieri guaranteed cash into his 70s. Shane Beamer got a big extension for 1 above average season where he lost a bowl game to shitty arse Bert. Auburn has done nothing but dumb shite for years. Plenty of schools are dumb enough to hire Kelly.

Cignetti having IU playing at that level put a lot of heat on Franklin. I wonder if they will make a push for him. I wonder if he would leave if offered.

They won't pursue Kelly, but I could see him leaving if they did. He's from the northeast and they have the same amount of resources as LSU. He would also have an easier path to the playoffs.
