If this is true and Jermy takes his rightful place as DC in Tuscaloosa, then this place is going to be so much fun.

I don't think he will be DC. Maybe an analyst or position coach this year, and if whoever is DC this year doesn't work out well Pruitt might be Assistant Head Coach who just happens to gameplan and call the defense in 2024.

Again, Will Wade was an active head coach in the SEC, and LSU fans pretended nothing was wrong & still defend the guy. I do not care what any of you think about Jeremy Pruitt being hired as an assistant.

It’s not true and only what the NCAA says matters.

The NCAA watched Auburn hire Pearl, who had a show cause, and watched Auburn hire Freeze, who was busted for way more than Pruitt was. And now you have UGA hiring females to escort players to strip joint, get wasted with them, and drive home with them in university provided vehicles. So the NCAA won't risk being sued for keeping a man from making a living while boosters nationwide pay recruits hundreds of thousands of dollars to play for their school, and that would probably be relevant in a court of law.

A bit different as Tennessee's case is currently ongoing.

His show cause was ending that year. Pruitt is about to get a 5/10 year show cause.

It didn't say for what position. It just said he was cleared. So, it could be as an analyst. We have to wait and see.

I'd bet two things:
First, Saban isn't considering Pruitt without engaging with the NCAA to understand the likelihood of his show cause fate.

Second, if he's a legitimate candidate given the first caveat, I'd bet his show cause is 2 years or less and will be considered time served since the infractions.

I'm not certain he's the guy, but Bama can hire him either way. Saban will ensure he is not in position to place the school at risk while under the (TBD) show cause.

Absolutely 0% chance. NCAA is about to Donnie Tyndall his arse based on the investigation.

We'll see. But, no one really cares about pay for play these days.

That is a factor.

Times have changed.

fricking Jimbo and all his cheating. He just hired a guy with EIGHTEEN level 1 violations.

What? This was Saban? Oh, well, I'm sure it's cool.
