I would say LSU football and LSU baseball both demand greatness. We expect to win nattys in both sports. Coaches that fail to do so within a few years will be on the hot seat and then get fired after that if they dont win one within a couple seasons...that's a fact. Doesn't matter the buyout or who they are as a person. Nothing matters but winning national titles when talking about expectations for lsu football and baseball.
I think you might be right about this, but we will see if it holds. If Brian Kelly doesn't make the playoff this season and isn't fired, then no.
UF was like this after Urban, but we have been softened up after hiring several terrible coaches in a row and keeping most of them too long including the current one.

Not really. Otherwise Napier would've already been fired.
Y'all let McElwain and Muschamp and Napier and Zook stick around a little bit before letting 'em go.

Zook was a great recruiter (which Napier isn't) and Muschamp got a longer rope because of the 2012 season.
A coach going 6-7, 5-7, and 8-5 would be ran out of Tuscaloosa.

This one may also fit the category. They got rid of Pat's long time assistant pretty quick, but they kept Harper for 5 years and she never finished higher than 3rd in the SEC and never got past a sweet 16.
She played for Tennessee though so that one makes it tougher.

I knew a couple of yell leaders back in the late 2000s
Both of them pulled more 10/10 pussy in a semester than an internet neckbeard such as yourself could get in a 1000 lifetimes.

Alabama gymnastics always has, too.
Not that I really care except that it's one more thing that makes UA great, i guess.

Yeah we will see about this one. They have been a powerhouse for so long I don't remember them needing to fire anyone.

Motherfrickers.
Yeah maybe I am bitter that we hired the wrong Reese brother.
Just kidding sort of, Randy did a great job at UF, just that Eddie did a better job at Texas.

If you coach one of these teams, you are on a short leash.
A short leash for National Championships. Other programs, like LSU, will put up with much less, much longer.

That's true.
Maybe y'all just have malaise.

Alabama went 17 years without winning a national championship. Kentucky hasn't won a title in 11 years, and the one prior to it was 14 years earlier. Since 2000, the longest LSU football went without a title was 12 years.
You can make an argument that pre-2000 LSU football doesn't belong on this list, but it clearly does now.

Maybe before this season I would agree. But Kelly was this huge splash of a hire, and he hasn't done much in 3 years. This season he lost to Sunbelt Billy and finished unranked and was trounced at home by Bama and nothing. Not even on the hot seat. LSU was preseason ranked 5th in 2023 and 13th in 2024.
I would even say Kelly hasn't done as well at LSU as Mullen did at UF.

ALABAMA has 18 NC and 30 SECC. LSU needs to filter its drinking water.

Butt Chugging at Tennessee?

You lost me at the intersection of Brian Kelly and Greatness.
Not gonna happen.
Might kill an assistant or two, but not going to reach greatness.

This is not a question of program pecking order.
Program pecking order is difficult because the 3 programs mentioned in the OP are the 3 all time best in their respective sport.
Georgia is on the top in football right now
Auburn is on top in basketball right now
Tennessee is on top in baseball right now (or maybe A&M)
But none of these schools and anywhere close to the others historically.

LSU baseball fans basically demand a trip to Omaha every year. It's a pressure-cooker job.
