Enough with all all this complete bullshite about Miami or Bama making Tua play or him being made out of glass etc. It’s bullshite about people that never played, tasted blood in the back of their throat after a hard hit, got knock out a concussion etc.

He is a professional athlete and was in the zone, number 2 rated QB in the NFL with a surprise 3-0 team. I can guarantee he was fighting to play because that’s what high character team mates and leaders do. Maybe he shouldn’t, but pro athletes endure pain, take health risk that no rational person would ever do. That’s how they get to be pros. Hell, Ronnie Lott told them to cutt off his fricking finger.

They used to die horrible painful short lives after the NFL. It’s better now but it’s a dangerous game and Lady Luck is a factor. Any of them would trade years off their lives for a Super Bowl win right now.

He was trying to help his team win, and took a lick that would have probably caused a concussion on top of recovering from a concussion. From someone who almost died from
serve concussion my prayers are with him and his family.

He is a warrior that got cut down trying to lead his team to a win. All that should be thought of this is Respect for his courage and commitment and hope for his health. Anything else is bullshite.

What I assume happened was that he had a minor concussion, just squeaked by the arbitrary protocols, and wasn’t healed coming into tonight

I don’t think some huge coverup happened regarding Tua. But it’s entirely possible that the NFL doesn’t really care about the players

A lot of these guys are willing to die every time they go out on the field. It may appear to be “men playing a boy’s game,” but it’s not. They play a serious high stakes game where men can get seriously hurt. MMA is similar. That’s what makes the game so exciting.

I’m sure nearly all of them would rather go down the way Tua did, than to sit out, and watch somebody else take their job, or worse, watch the team lose because they were not in there. In a way, I respect them greatly for that.

I agree with you, to a degree. He's an adult. If he was given all of the relevant information that Miami had about his condition after Sunday and still elected to play, well, that's what being a man is all about. He made a choice. I understand why he made the choice he made. Sometimes choices don't work out. That doesn't mean I feel any less for him, but it does mean I'm not jumping on the witch hunt train to try and find someone to blame.

tldr: Those who are crying for people to lose their jobs and how Tua can't be expected to make decisions on his own account are Karens. Football is a violent sport that no one is being forced to play.
