Why is a fan of a school in the southeast UNITED STATES fanboying for a UK boxer?

Personally, I’m not looking at boxing for national pride. I don’t care that much. Fury was just more entertaining to me.

I prefer watching a real boxer and not some fruitcake that flails his arms like a child and hopes he can connect. I recognize and appreciate greatness.

Actually, I was pulling for Fury. I like the guy and he did not disappoint. I'd like to see the heavyweight division make a comeback.

I would always prefer an American athlete to win unless they are controversial like AB.
It's a poorly kept secret that there are a handful of Americans that pulled for Fury because of race. I'm honestly not sure why it happened with this match specifically as this certainly isn't the first interracial boxing match, but who knows with some people.
And when someone like WT is so invested in this you have to wonder....
