I guess that's the going rate... amazing what a free market does when there are pressures to win now

As long as there are crazy fans and message boards like this, there will continue to be constant tailwinds for coaches' salaries and pressures to win.

Mike Anderson has the highest winning percentage of any coach in mizzou history who has coached at least of 3 seasons.

Anderson's a few spots down my list but he will be our next BB coach. I'll support him! WPS!

Why is Mike Anderson such a hot commodity when he averages losing 10 games per year over his HC career?

Per Mike Irwin Mike says Long has attempted to contact Alden @ Mizzou, but has been unable to reach him.

I don't really have a dog in this fight but I think his record at MU is 111-57 (0.661). Which is good... and mostly good because of having a peak 2008 (31-7).

But it's also highly similar to what Norm Stewart did at MU for decades longer: 634-333 (0.656). I'd say that Mike Anderson looks ok and improved the situation from the underachieving disaster that was Quinn Snider... but did not overachieve at MU

I don't say that with any venom... I just think MA is a solid not spectacular coach. If he were spectacular they would have been better

I guess he may be worth offering 2.6 million in today's market tho? IDK

Must have just changed recently. Earlier this year, Mike was in the lead.

Still, it's close. Mizzou has never been past the elite 8, so he has reached their "ceiling".

This is an Arkansas thread. I have no intentions of going back to the "who could we get better than Stansbury" crap with you. All I asked was what was the big whoop with Anderson other than he was once at Arkansas. They compared his record to that of Stansbury; not I. Now go away.

I'm not saying he's the greatest coach in CBB, but I would say he is more than solid.

He also has the intangibles for Arkansas. He would immediately generate a lot of excitement around the program, and fill BWA again.
