Huh? Alabama usually plays one of the toughest schedules in college football. Georgia is the one that plays in the east and magically avoided west teams over the years.

I'm not sure our SEC schedule is all that more difficult yet. It could end up being extremely difficult, but where we got difficult teams, we also got some easy teams like Vandy and South Carolina that we don't normally get. You know, one of the many easy wins Georgia was playing every year.

Missouri is a question mark. Currently ranked, but also the kind of team that can be great one year, not so great the next year.

Oklahoma is another question mark. Historically good, but still been rebuilding. Currently ranked, but their name will get them some leeway in that area. Could be good, could be not so good.

Tennessee is ranked 15th, but we already played them every year. LSU is ranked 12th, but we already played them every year. Auburn isn't ranked, but if they end up ranked we already played them every year.

Don't have to play Ole Miss, or A&M as we normally would.

So the only addition is Georgia really, who hasn't won a regular season game against Alabama since a 3 point win in 2007 when Alabama went 7-6.

This schedule isn't even really more difficult than normal unless some SEC opponents climb the ranks. It would have been much more difficult if we were playing in the west and adding Georgia from the east as well.

Bama doesn't play a home and home out of conference for a decade, loses one of the 2 games, coach leaves due to all the advantages he had for 15 years being negated, but acts like their schedules were so tough. Even Lincoln Riley, the king of running away from a challenge, called you out.

Notre Dame. Top ten because why? NBC?

Just like the 12th man logo, ND should put up a banner in South Bend that reads:

"HOME OF THE 12TH SEED"

The 12 team playoff bracket probably came about to be able to accommodate Notre Dame each season.

And Smart is doing the same thing with these Neutral games. They also got to hide in the Least division forever and recently canceled Oklahoma for Ball State. Didn't Smart just cancel UCLA next season and pick up Marshall of the Sun Belt? Georgia still doing Georgia things.

Can’t wait for A&M to beat Notre Dame, swap rankings with them into the top 10, and then proceed to drop 5 games and go to the Lawnmowers.com bowl

The winner of the Oregon vs Ohio State game might go undefeated in the regular season. There's just no other intimidating B1G teams.

Look on the bright side I have made a guaranteed pick. Texas A&M WILL beat LSU. That will be a good one.

They're good conversation starters.

Also fun to see the juxtaposition of when a preseason favorite starts taking L's which teams that beat them get the "They were ranked __ when they played" or "they were ranked at the time, but that wasn't the a _th ranked team".

Just like Drinkwitz wasn't ranked last year and now he is ranked this year because he proved it last year.

Haha, good one…will you ever get a respectable schedule? That’s when you’ll get respect.

Was I one of the committees voting to rank the coaches and the teams in the polls? Nope! But they sure did put Drinkwitz and the team where they are rightfully placed in the polls.

A good record in the SEC is going to be rewarded, but a deep dive tells you much more. The facts are that Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Missouri have all posted good records in the last few years. None have made it pay off to Atlanta. And that's the deal. A good record and actually winning the SEC is a huge step up for any fledging program that has real aspirations of arriving.

What program can crawl over the best teams in the SEC and win this conference? That's where the rubber meets the road grasshopper.

Hey, I am offended that you say SC is an easy game like Vandy. LOL.

Getting more 4* and 5* recruits and good players from the transfer portal is working. Thanks to NIL and the new rule for the transfer portal has made it work. Without that the team would be in between the middle of the pack to near the bottom each year.

So far it hasn't gotten you to Gary Pinkel good. He went to 2 SECCG in Atlanta. It's easy to talk about all this newfound altitude based on one season but you haven't exceeded recent Missouri history in the SEC.

How many years has GP been a HC? He was a HC for a long time! Like I said, give Drinkwitz time! What is wrong with most fans on here that don't understand building a football program? He is on his way to be better than GP. NIL and transport rule change is working in his favor so far.
