Billboards might be going up in Birmingham near Mussolini’s office soon.
We all know how billboards make y’all come unhinged.
Thoughts and prayers to all of you during this difficult time.

It is truly odd seeing Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia posters finally having a common ground, which is hating the fact that LSU hired a known winner; joining forces with Mississippi and agreeing with the NY-born Greg Sankey.
I did not mention Auburn or Florida because nobody really gives a shite about those two programs anymore. It’s still fun to laugh at Tennessee’s lack of success.
And that they call what LSU did, which was nothing, lack of institutional control when Alabama was “looking down the barrel of a gun” Georgia had a little basketball problem with Harrick, and Tennessee was so incredibly stupid to put cash in McDonald’s paper bags. And TENN still has nothing to show for it by the way.
Y’all are seriously like countries in the Middle East. The enemy of my enemy is today’s friend.
Imagine Vince, Bear and Neyland agreeing with a Donde Plowman finebaum and Greg Sankey.

Sounds a lot like the wolfing coming out of Lexington this week. The head coach, running his mouth, is threatening to do what he couldn't do at Oregon: win top games. Get drunk, make a lot of noise, show BAMA your azz as a fan, and that's no doubt the magic recipe for a new and improved Kentucky.
As far as Baton Rouge goes, I just sent the state of LA another check for this year's property tax. A place where tigers' dreams have gone to die.

Is paying for a billboard to whine about the refs now a flex?

The short version of the story is that it was 2018, and (much like today) Bama had a winning streak against LSU that had begun with the Hiroshima bombing of the LSU football program that was 1/9/12. The Bama game was coming up, and an LSU player had been (correctly) suspended for targeting. Desperate to get out from under Saban's boot, they immediately began doing what they did best: impotently whining online.
Eventually, some of them got payday loans against their next month's disability checks and managed to scrape together $6,000 (the equivalent of a year's rent in Baton Rouge's finest neighborhoods) to rent some electronic billboards in downtown Birmingham that took their bitching and moaning into a new arena. Needless to say, everyone had a good laugh at this fairly pathetic display.
The reckless player they wanted unsuspended remained suspended for the first half of the Bama game, and Alabama slapped LSU around in Baton Rouge again in a 29-0 shutout for Bama's eighth win in a row against LSU. The game was mostly noted for how quickly the LSU crowd gave up and left the stadium, and it was clear that the suspension had no meaningful impact on the outcome anyway because the talent, coaching, and work ethic gaps between the two programs was just too large.

FIRE SANKEY electronic billboard up in downtown Bham as I sit here and watch it out my office window. Off the interstate probably 10 blocks from SEC HQ.
