Mac will be coaching Notre Dame in 2 years. He won't have to recruit much.

Best move Florida could make.

Mac's problem is recruiting. He can coach, he showed that at Colorado State. Unlike Kirby or Muschamp he had actually already turned around a program.

It is also worth mentioning that he hired Nuss for his OC.

I'm thinking guys Saban encourages to seek other career opportunities aren't always the best choices.

Nuss has been getting head coaching sniffs and I kind of hope he takes it and we replace him with an elite recruiter. I'd like Mac to get an OC known for his recruiting and that has experience calling plays. The offense is Mac's so there wouldn't be a huge adjustment from one OC to another. And I think Florida will get rid of the old white guys and hire new OL and TE coaches that actually get on the trail and recruit.

That's because Foley in his stupidity gave Mac a 6 year deal from the get go. He's a mediocre coach and recruiter.

He lost to almost every good team he played. He feasted on cupcakes and lost to multiple bad teams. Its easy to beat 3-9 Wyoming when you have an NFL QB, WR and RB in Grayson, Higgins and Hart. Mac never had to recruit a QB because Grayson was there when he arrived. He just out talented everyone. His best win was vs 10-4 Utah St.

I'm not a big fan of McElwain. To me the 3rd quarter is a good barometer of a coach. And UF has not played well in most of their games in the 3rd quarter.

I think TN will be just as good next year another 9 or 10 win season.

We won't be firing Butch for a while.

I'd say after 3 seasons of being in the 9/10 win range after post season then he will truly have to be winning championships.

IMO that is the standard at UT right now.

Beat me to it. To be honest, I don't remember hearing much about him landing players while at Bama. He can definitely coach. But Xs and Os are only part of the job.

I wonder if he'd be better in the NFL.

Well apparently Dave Hart's retarded arse is considering giving Botch an extension, so you may be right for that reason alone. But McElwain isn't much better.

Gotta think some Ole Miss coaches are going to get walking papers with the NCAA investigation and hoping they drop the hammer on them before the next recruiting class signs.

Maybe. Depends on the new AD. Foley stuck with Muschamp 1 year too many.

This guy will at least give McElwain next year. Maybe 2018.

Jones is a dead man walking.
