That's what retard was sayin Lewis bye is a bad thing for Saban and Bama fans will use it as an excuse

He doesn't realize how bad this beating might get for the Ags

bama fans overlook the fact that Manziel was not even named the starter until August last year.

this year, he is able to work with the offense all spring/summer as the starter.

our offense will be better this year than they were last year. bama won't stand a chance.

If Nick Saban would just drop a Linebacker, Johnny Manziel will have a tougher time. Barkevious and Freak were all over Manziel because he couldn't find anyone open due to another linebacker spying and dropping into coverage. When that happens, he is forced to scramble. With that said, LSU is much faster on defense than Bama.

Say Bama's 2011 defense was what was facing Manziel. Courtney Upshaw would have been dropped and Jerrell Harris along with Hightower and Johnson would stay in their positions. Hightower would most likely play defensive end occasionally. Thats the formula to at least contain him. Bama just doesn't have that kind of ridiculous talent in those positions. Doesn't help the secondary was destroyed after that year. Open receivers and terrible coverage = 20-0. It's not all Manziel. Open receivers are his saving grace. Shut down the receivers and its much harder for him.

So to me, the experience in that situation should help a bit. We'll see how much he can deal with Chief's defensive scheme in place. Here's to a good game

We overlooked it last yr, before that game, it won't be overlooked this yr

& Bama's D is keying as well, preparing and studying massive amounts of film (way more than they had to study last year, especially a game of Bama's D scheme against Sumlin's O scheme with Manziel at QB, makes a huge difference)

our offense will be better this year than they were last year.

No Swope (almost 1k yds, 8 TDs), no Joeckel at LT & I've heard the Matthews talk that he's no drop-off, but he's a guy who's just starting this yr at LT replacing a #2 draft pick. I know Matthews is talented and by the end of the year I don't doubt he will get plenty of draft hype, but his 2nd game, 1st SEC game against possibly the 2nd best pass rusher in the SEC this yr (Adrian Hubbard). I don't think the O will be as great as you think in the game against Bama, it might toward the end of the yr

I think the defending national champs coming off a bye week in a revenge driven rage will be ok, just a hunch

Both Alabama and LSU have a bye week before the A&M game - coincidence?

In any case, it won't matter, just as Stoops had a month to focus on stopping JFF - 41-14. You cannot game plan against him.

It's going to be much worse for Bama and LSU this year against the Ags. They say that the most pronounced improvement is from year 1 to 2, which is a scary thought - the Ags will be even better this year than last year. Last year was our first year with Sumlin, Johnny Football, SEC, system, etc. etc. - we know what we have this year while we did not for much of last year.

I think it will be close, but AJ has some late game heroics to win it by 7 in the 4th.

tj you are exactly right.

the bama etc etc posters on here don't want to recognize that fact. we (did not last year) have an entire off season to prepare this offense.

what about the stable of runnig backs we have??? bama fans are so focused on JFF that they can't see how talented a groupd we have back there.

and these comments about our o-line takig a big hit - you clearly don't know what you are talking about.

Bama laughed at A&M last year and thought it would be an easy win. I don't remember any bama fans that gave A&M a shot at beating bama at home last year. After watching JFF dismantle AU at JH worse than any player I have ever seen do to AU at home, I knew A&M had a legit shot. Honestly, I think bama was fortunate the game was not a blowout. Like 49-24/28. Bama caught a few breaks in the second quarter and the Ags special teams helped keep bama in the game.

A&M has a very legit shot to win at Kyle again this year.
Please tell us when Bama has EVER been a part of a "blowout" of that proportion since Nick Saban has been at UA.

In 6 seasons, he is 68-13...... In those 13 loses over the last 6 year, the largest margin of loss was 14 pts to Utah in '09, and 14 pts to SoCarl 14 pts in '10.

Bama managed to gameplan quite nicely against Tebow and LSU....I think we will have a plan for JFF

Again, not saying it will definitely happen, but playing Bama in a rematch it not a fun concept for top notch teams. Each #1 team we played in that scenario we beat by 3 Touchdowns. That AND offense was why we lost. Say what you want, but IF the offense had worked like it had been, it would've been closer to Bama's favor.

Tebow>>>>>>>JFF.....Nick and Kirby will have all off-season to study JFF and dial up a plan...Bama has a bye before the game and not a dogfight with LSU.......you won't see the same Bama team....and Bama is far more stacked than Aggie....Bama is used to the big game and Kyle Field don't mean shite. See 2009 UF, 2011 AU, or 2012 LSU for what you can expect

Bama does A&M doesn't

RIIIIIGHT because those 2 teams are so similar, as are the head coaches

I can only speak for Bama and say it sure as hell won't, it will be better

Who says? That is an opinion, there have been TOOON of flame outs in the SEC after 1st yr

Not saying that will or won't happen just that it's a bad argument to make in this game

I addresed above

This explains a lot of batshit craziness exhibited this offseason by A&M fans

Just know at the same time SEC defensive masterminds are also gameplanning for Manziel
