Predicting your OOC games

For lsu, I think we should get through these pretty easily.
BYU: Should play well being that we don't have Les and his 1940s playbook anymore. I'm a little worried about Canada's new offense and how they will fare, especially since BYU gets a warm up game a week prior. I could see it being a blowout on LSU's part, or it could be a defensive 8-6 final score kind of game.
Chattanooga: FCS team, shouldn't have too many issues here.
Syracuse: Different type of team to come to tiger stadium, but they are definitely one of the weaker links in the ACC. We should have killed them two years ago, but we kept shooting ourselves in the foot. Still think it should be an easy W
Troy: Another easy win hopefully, similar to Chattanooga

Cal might challenge y'all a little because it's a road game but I definitely expect y'all to beat them.

App State-- should win, but I feel like this could also be a trap game.
Notre Dame- win by 7-14
Samford- should win easily
GA Tech- We can not lose to them this year....

GA Tech will be a tough game tho. That damned offense isn't something I look forward to defending.

True that. I hate having to play them, because you have to have your scout team TRY to imitate the offense. And the offense is so damn rare these days. players don't see enough of it.

Wonder if we can borrow Dobbs from the Steeler's to run scout team? Seriously that would help some but how the hell do you prep scout OL to look like their OL?!

I wouldn't sleep on GA southern either. This could be a trap game for you guys too. Just because they run the triple option. I believe y'all will beat them, just don't sleep on them.

lol. yea, I know, we have a walk on QB that could help run scout team for them, But all of our new OL won't really be able to mimic them IMO.

I hope UTC upsets you.
4-0 for UGA.

You have the entire offseason to prepare. If GT beats you it'll because your offense let you down.

That's the biggest issue too, imo. Triple-option OLs are smaller and faster. When big SEC DLs face these lines it's like nothing they've seen before. I'm almost tempted to say you need to fill your scout OL with big athletic TEs and let them face that but again how do you bring those guys up to speed to play like a team that's been running it for years and do you even have that many.
That said, App St. ran something very similar against us last year even though they supposedly weren't a triple-option team. They gave the defense problems in the first half but they didn't score a single point in the second half when adjustments were made. DL still had struggles against them - even speed was used against them at times.

Assuming that everyone is healthy you're correct but losing so many defenders at the end of the year has me worried about that. I'd really like to start game one with a relatively healthy team.
Not sure what offense is going to look like in the first game. I expect it will be potent. RB is outstanding and for some reason going completely under the radar despite putting up stats last year that should have him at least mentioned and WRs look pretty good (depth is a concern for both positions tho) but it will be different with a new QB and new OC. And in game 1, I'll be surprised if we don't see both QBs.

If the final score of LSU-BYU is 8-6 (after warming ourselves up for an 8:30 kick off) this board will crash and never recover.
