He's not wrong. The Lsu baseball coaching search was a little bumpy. The top choices were not selected. However, I think the hire was still very good. Just like football can be too. You're swinging and missing with Jimbo & Mel, but someone like Aranda might end up being good.

Lsu had a couple guys they were interested in. Some they may have passed on and some passed on them. They ended up getting a good coach.

Meh, extensions could mean LSU reached out.
They could mean someone else reached out.
They could mean those AD's are just being proactive and locking down their coaches before anyone comes calling.
Extensions aren't really proof of anything.
LSU gave Orgeron two extensions, I doubt anyone was reaching out.

Actually, he rejected Alleva once, in 2016.
They basically had a commitment to hire him in 2015 but everyone got on the Les Miles train at the end of the year and they left Jimbo at the altar.
He was pissed and told Alleva to frick off the next year.

No one knows who we have offered or what is going on. The baseball hire was exactly whom Woodward wanted the whole time. Woodward will hire the right coach.
