Let's get somthing straight...Wazzu will most likely finish last in the Pac North or ahead of Cal. However, they are better than Arky St.

No I get it, he was your OC, took a short hiatus, then you guys gave him the head coaching job.

Good job.

Maybe you were asleep last year, but the biggest reason we were so terrible was the worst qb play in the country. Also, not helping was a young oline that did not have any experience playing together.

We pretty much return everyone this year. If we get decent qb play, nothing special, just so-so qb play, we will win around 7 or 8 games.

Basically you promoted your OC. I know, I know, technically that's not what happened but it's the reality of the situation.

The reality is, our OC left, he was a HC, we hired him as HC. We hired our former OC. Your insistance on ignoring that is baffling.

Seriously, what is it you want to accomplish with this?

If you can't see the difference between loffler/chiz and malzhan then might be time to step away.

I don't understand string theory so if i'm ever in an elevator with a bunch of physicist trying to discuss it i'm not going to keep interjecting with my dim witted thoughts.

Based on?

Neither one of them is good enough to beat us so i'm not sure why it matters which one is closer, unless this is some pac pride thing. In which case, carry on, conference pride is stupid.

I said Auburn should beat Wazzu. Would not want that as my opener.

A team that put of those stats last year and isn't a directional school from a no name conference...why not?

Frazier went to the high school where Malzahn coached, they still use the same playbook. Frazier came to Auburn because of Malzahn and the style he was accustomed to, plain and simple.

Take Malzahn out of the picture and what do you have? The worst QB play in the country, which you already admitted.

So you guys basically have a bunch of finesse players who couldn't be bothered to adjust their playing style somewhat, and you went winless in the conference. Such talent!

Excuse me if I'm not buying into the whole "these are all Malzahn's players" groupthink. Auburn's players just really aren't THAT good, or else they could have overcome a change in offensive coordinator.

I don't think anyone is asking you to buy it any more than you're asking others to adjust their predictions to fit what you believe.

But i do think it's short sighted to assume it's the same thing as last year, which is what i gather you're shooting for.

As an Arky fan, you will witness first hand the difficulties of offensive changes this fall.

They already experienced it last fall.

Or did you forget the whole "Tyler Wilson, Knile Davis, Paul Petrino, nothing is going to change" line of thinking before the season kicked off?

I don't think Gus has proven yet that he can recruit and develop players, most of his recruits have been busts. Especially at QB, all his high school QB recruits have ended up being garbage.

IMHO

Worst case 5-7

Best case 9-3
The Plainsmen can knock out 9 wins if they catch a few breaks early in the seasons, upset somebody, and then the team develops good chemistry/experience by the end of the year.

I predict 8-4

They are heading down UTs path of crap after changing offenses multiple years.
