Here is my guess
1. Ohio State
2. Indiana
3. Georgia
4. Texas Tech
5. Oregon
6. Texas A&M
7. Ole Miss
8. Oklahoma
9. Alabama
10. Notre Dame
11. BYU
12. Miami
That is what I think the committee will give us
I would rank ND lower (13) due to weak schedule and no tough wins. Probably slide TexASS in at 12 since they beat Aggie but they would still be bumped out by the G5 team…..

This.
Ole Miss is likely 8-4 without Coach Kiffin

They’re going to have a real challenge explaining their reasoning for dropping ND behind Alabama this week.
They should, but they won’t.

They had 3 games under 7 points to very weak teams. Wash State, Kentucky and Arkansas. Their schedule sucks and they lost their whole offensive staff. They need booted.

We've learned that explaining things is not a problem for them - they're awful at it either way. But A&M losing (their best win, a loss) and Miami drilling Pitt (their 2nd best actual win) gives them some decent ammo to fix what they screwed up all along.
What will be interesting is how they explain Notre Dame/Miami and head to head if the 2 are #10 and #12. Hard to say they aren't in similar "buckets" at that point.

What is Oregon's big win this season?
Posted on 12/2/25 at 9:20 am to Zgeo
1. Ohio State
2. Indiana
3. Georgia
4. Texas Tech
5. Oregon
6. Ole Miss
7. Texas A&M
8. Oklahoma
9. Notre Dame
10. Alabama
11. BYU
12. Texas
Just some small differences. I think the only shakeup is A&M moving down to 7 behind Ole Miss. It will be interesting to see what they do with Ole Miss with Lane gone and no on-field info on how they might play without him. That said, I think they still move them ahead of A&M on the strength of wins and I hate to say this, quality of loss.

They don't have one. They do have a solid collection of "good" wins (@ Iowa, @ Washington, USC, @ Penn St), but nothing marquee.

I shudder at the thought of such a record. But even without Kiffin, we can agree that there’s no way they would have fallen to the unfathomable depths of a 7-5 record. If that were to happen, they should just abandon football.

With Kiffin and no coaching issue I could see Ole Miss higher than 7th. Now I wonder if they'll end up lower, barely making the playoffs, in the final poll next week, particularly if players transfer out.

The only Big 10 team with an impressive win is Indiana. Interesting that they can have a top 10 win, while Ohio State hasn't played a team in the top 10 all year and still be ranked behind Ohio State. I guess it will all come out in the wash in the Big 10 title game, but still it shows the committee only cares about overall record and eye-test.

I don't think Ole Miss will be 7th. They should 100% be in, but I don't see how you don't drop them a spot or two without their offensive staff.

I think Ohio State has 2 pretty impressive wins - Texas and @ Michigan are very solid wins - especially the latter being in such full control of the game fashion. Neither is as good as Indiana @ Oregon or Alabama @ Georgia, but those are tip top level wins.
Ohio State also won in pretty suffocating fashion @ Illinois and @ Washington, who are both solid teams.

1. Ohio State - Yes
2. Indiana - Yes
3. Georgia - For now, will see if committee drops them after SECCG loss
4. Texas Tech - Too high, based off their SOS, but eye test is in their favor
5. Oregon- Too high, based off their SOS, but money keeps them here
6. Ole Miss - Proper location, better body of work than Aggie
7. Texas A&M - Proper location, worse body of work than Ole Miss
8. Oklahoma - Too high, based off offense production
9. Alabama - For now, will see if committee drops them out after SECCG loss. Would be most deserving 3 loss team
10. Notre Dame - Should not be ranked
11. Texas - If Bama wins, should be in
12. Tulane - Somebody for G5 is here
2. Indiana - Yes
3. Georgia - For now, will see if committee drops them after SECCG loss
4. Texas Tech - Too high, based off their SOS, but eye test is in their favor
5. Oregon- Too high, based off their SOS, but money keeps them here

Are we going to ignore the fact Kiffin got us 3 losses last year with an even better team. This team overcame his dumb decision making this year, it is the players not the coach.
He is both a genius and moron at the same time, coming soon to you.

Is that why ole miss matched all offers?

Washington is a good win. Disagree about Illinois, they really had a poor second half of the season that included losing by 20+ to Washington and losing by 17 to a 4 win Wisconsin team. Oddly enough, Washington lost to Wisconsin as well.
That's splitting hairs though. Ohio State has been in control all year long. They only time they've struggled or played tight at all was against Texas.

Yea agree - in the end it's hard to really say anybody is that much better than anybody else. Which should make for a good playoff.
