Who?

LSU, UGA, MSU, and USC.

Those four teams are all more talented than UF right now, and Mullen just doesn't upset teams that have more talent. Paticularly when he doesn't have the right players to run Meyer's offense.

FSU certainly has more talent than us, along with UGA, LSU, and MSU. I wouldn’t put South Carolina in that same category, they have a major edge at QB but everywhere else is debatable in my opinion.

South Carolina definitely doesn't have more talent than UF, at least not in terms of recruit rankings. Their offense may be pretty good, but their defense got pretty well decimated. I have a hard time seeing how their D won't have a drop off. They only have about 7 scholarship LB'ers on roster unless I'm missing somebody.

Muschamp plays so much nickel I think he prefers to have extra DB’s on the roster instead of an over abundance of LB’s. Seems he had the same strategy at UF. With there advantage at QB it’s probably a wash. Should be a toss up for sure.

UF with Mullen might take a little time to synchronize, but I think they'll be really good soon. 10-2 might be a stretch this year, but 9-3/ 8-4 is certainly possible imo.

Do not go by recruiting rankings when assessing talent that is actually on a team. Players come and go, some develop and some don't....and once a guy actually gets on the field he is either a legit SEC talent or he isn't; the recruiting stars by his name don't mean anything anymore.

By recruiting rankings, UF, LSU and TAMU should all be more talented than MSU. They are not. They probably have deeper rosters, though.

0-12, team sucks, no QBs, Mullen can't coach or recruit.

Any win will be an upset, and a bunch of upsets coming, beetches. I'm talking to both sets of leg humpers, Indians, chickens and some Pussycats.
Wildcats are Vols are a given, along with the OOC pansies..

I understand that recruit rankings aren't the final word in talent, especially for any given athlete. But, when you average them over an entire team, they give a pretty good indication of team talent.

That doesn't mean a higher talent ranked team is a better football team, because coaching, culture, inexperience/weakness at a particular position, injuries, etc., all play a big part. But every season is a new team, and sometimes new coaches. So until we see how those new teams respond next year, it's hard to say which teams will be better.

MSU isn't a guaranteed loss for the Gators by any means. They have a new coach and no one knows if he's any good, that's a gigantic question mark.

I think Florida wins at least eight games. Their schedule is not too punishing and while they are not exactly loaded there is some talent on the team. A new coach should bring a refreshed attitude compared to last year when they were clearly just mailing it in.

They've got 17/22 returning starters and it's probably a night road game. The timing sucks for us since they'll be hyped about the possibility of beating the coach who left them.

Spoiler alert: he's really good.

Meanwhile, UF has a new coach, and he is inheriting a bunch of players that don't fit his system.

I agree they should win but it's not a guaranteed loss like he claims. Mullen has enough to win some games and keep the rest close. Arky returned a lot for John L Smith, didn't matter

8-4 it’s going to Mullen some time to get his own players that he will need to run his offense at full strength. Plus he will need some time to improve talent on defense too . The good thing for UF is that FSU , Tennessee and MSU have new head coaches and 2 of them don’t have much experience.
