Ohio State
Texas
BYU
Miami
Boise St
The ACC and Big 12 are crap and do not deserve a bye.
The first 2 were the easiest picks.

Ohio State
Alabama
Southern Methodist
BYU
Army
I watched Boise State-Nevada out of curiosity. Boise is not good. They will lose before the end of the season and Army will slip in as the G5.

If Alabama and Milroe can play like they played against LSU then that will happen.

I don't disagree but you have to have a G5.

The Mountain West's current second place team is Colorado State who got beat at home by Colorado 28-9.
So you'd be giving Boise a bye mostly b/c they lost to Oregon by 3.

So really the only injustice is that 2 SEC teams will be left out and replaced with weaker teams from weaker conferences. To that extent, the "national" playoff is a farce.
But I don't think it's any worse than that.

A little SEC top-heavy for me but I would much prefer your 12 to the BS we will get.

And that's farce #1, and in my mind a good enough reason to pull out. This G5 will put out an SEC team.

SMU
Boise State
Colorado
Oregon
As far as the SEC goes, wtf knows. There are 7 or 8 teams still alive. Including….Arkansas AND Vandy.
We probably won’t know till after the Missouri/Arkansas or Texas/A&M game whichever finishes last which two teams are in.
If I have to pick one, A&M. I think it’s extremely likely Arkansas takes out Missouri giving LSU a path to the SECCG. As a Bama fan that won’t upset me if we win out. Would set us up against the 10 or 11 seed.

It is SEC heavy but I think the B1G falls off after 4 teams, where the SEC still has strong ones.

They need some help for that to even be possible. As of now, they aren't going to be in the SECCG to have the opportunity to get an auto bid. If Texas v. A&M winner and Tennessee win out, they can't get an auto-bid.

Who does Texas beat in the SECCG?
The reality is they've played one of the eight teams that has a chance to make the SECCG... and lost by 15 at home. It's not like UGA played well against them either... they played like they did against Ole Miss. Ole Miss was just better than Texas.
They'd likely knock A&M out of the championship game if they make it themselves. And right now I think I'd take Tennessee, UGA, Ole Miss and Bama over Texas in a championship game. All of them either beat Texas (UGA), beat the team who beat Texas (Bama/Ole Miss) or would likely beat the team who beat Texas if they were to make it (Tennessee).
Maybe they could beat LSU or Mizzou if they lucked into playing them.

Wow... that would be nice for UGA.
PSU, then SMU to make the final 4? Yes please. Even without any improvement in the offence UGA could pull that out.
Then Texas (who UGA already beat with a poor offensive performance) or ND (who's overrated or Indiana (who's overrated)?
That's a likely national championship game appearance despite having a shite team.

I'm sick of the Big 10.
The Big 10 is overhyped every year and proves their overhype in the bowl games.
