Apparently they have the votes already if they needed them which is why they’re checking legality if that nuclear option was needed. This is per Paul finebaum so take that with a huge grain of salt.

They can't vote LSU out unless a federal judge approves it. Since LSU hasn't violated any rules I don't see this happening. The federal judge would look like he was in collusion with the SEC. He/She isn't a local judge and has way more to lose. This now involves our federal legal system and no federal judge wants to look like they are in collusion with the SEC. Its in the SEC bylaws that a team can't be voted out.

I’m finding this whole dramedy pretty ridiculous and not following along closely. I don’t think it will ever happen. But. I thought this was settled. The SEC bylaws state exactly the opposite. 3.1.5, etc., right? What did I miss?
