It is not about which side God is on...

As Paul pointed out, everyone is likely to be dealing with their own personal thorns.

It is ultimately all about who is on God's side.

Agnostic here and I agree it’s the latter of the two options. Ineptitude and ego of Hugh

God is no respecter of persons. Highly doubt he has taken a positions on sports teams of said persons. Probably more concerned about the actions of the people involved with the people on those sports teams

I think God has much greater issues to consider than the outcome of a football game.

Wrong page. Should be on the Calvinism/Arminianism Page.

Calvinism proves atheism. The all mighty creator of all things cannot choose some for heaven and predestine some for hell. For God to create evil, makes him evil. That also makes the death, burial and resurrection a meaningless act of salvation.

God may know the outcome, we do not. Every person has free will, free to follow him on the roadmap he laid out, and free to do the dumb crap we all choose to do.

Coaches can buy hookers and blow for their players, diddle co-eds, have affairs, take this or that job, and it’s nothing to do with God’s plan for us, because in the end, not all that speak Christ are of Christ. First death, then the judgement, and that judgement is based on our choices.

God does not create evil, but He does allow it to exist. What man meant for evil, God meant for good. God is Holy Holy Holy, sinless and perfect. Also perfectly just. He the just and the justifier.

Think of the most beautiful diamond ring you’ve ever seen. Just laying on a sales counter it’s still beautiful, but put it in a box with a dark backdrop and suddenly it’s as beautiful as it could ever be.

You’ll never see the beauty of what Christ did on that cross for your sins and your need for Him until you truly see your sinfulness before a Holy God.

Also man does have free will. Man will just ALWAYS choose sin with his free will.

Only God gives freedom and power over sin, not man’s free will.

God's sovereignty is all over the Bible. Nothing that happens happens by chance, and God is not helpless in anything, even the actions of men. All things work together for good for God's people and for His glory.

Well, I was hatched from
An egg laid by some guy
'Cause that is Glorzo's way

[Pre-Chorus]
And then it came time
To lay my own egg and die
But Summer, she said
"Hey, Glorzo wants you to stay"

[Chorus 1]
Glory to Glorzo
Means glory to me
If we're only making eggs
Are we ever making Glorzo free?

[Verse 2]
And for all we know
Everything we've known
Is just some shite we made up

[Chorus 2]
Glory to Glorzo
Means glory to me
We got too many eggs
And not enough society
