A whole bunch of Marshall bashing, but not one recommendation of another player yet.

I like Marshall. Great player. And he may very well end up being the best QB of the SEC bunch in '14.

Here are two other possibilities:

Kenny Hill

Kyle Allen

I think stats wise, Prescott is a good bet for QB.

How can one be "extremely mediocre" haha.

That aside, I'm of the mind that if someone (Cody Prewitt) is a returning first-team All-American that he should be penciled in at safety for his senior year.

Dylan Thompson base don how good they have been and should be going into this season.

Nick Marshall was a better passer last year than Thompson. Based completion %, QBR rating, and TD/INT ratio. He was also better across the board passing than Prescott.

Thompson has come in and played hero more than once, he also had a nice 2012 campaign. Marshall's hero moment came when UGA DBs swatted a sure game losing INT into a Auburn WR hands for a TD.

It's weird how Leonard Fournette is going to win the Heisman next year, yet isn't even on your preseason all SEC list

I'll switch out Henry and Davis at running back, due to popular demand.

Right tackle seems controversial. We need closure at that position.

Also need some quality defense nominations, before I just start filling it in with UGA players.

Also, all the good qb's are gone, Marshall has the SEC championship, and qb's always make their biggest leap in production between year 1 and year 2. It would be ridiculous to not have him in the spot, and believe me, I'm not happy about it.

I would not have Marshall on mine either, but this statement right here leads me to believe you don't know shite.

Ok. Auburn also gets a huge playmaker coming in at WR that should help make Marshall's job easier.

So what do you base an all conference team pick on then? Potential in the NFL?

No, where did I say anything that led you to that?

In the end an all-conference pick is usually 2 things - stats and who they think the best guy is.

Johnny Manziel wasn't first team pre-season All-SEC either.
