This is a great question. I think you could legitimately start to ask, is the “gauntlet of the Big 12 mid-tier teams (e.g. Ok st, k state, Iowa state, TCU, etc.) a harder task than that of the SEC (e.g. Arky, S.Car, UF, etc.)”
Essentially SEC has benefited from the best PR spin since Eastman Kodak’s Madmen ads, thanks to Bama’s utter and complete dominance?

While this thread was ill-conceived and generally not a good idea our first year in the SEC..
You did nail the goalpost part. It seems they will be moved in any direction, and as far as needed to downplay anything we accomplish.
Oh, and when we do drop a game (yes, it will happen eventually) the rant will be relentless...15 fanbases vs one type stuff. Of course that's to be expected and all part of having a forum like this.
It can be quite jarring at first, but a nice change from homer, like minded circle jerk team forums.
