Nick Saban is smart enough to NOT take jobs at those type schools.

JMO but Nick is a great Manager/Recruiter but is just a Really good coach and not great. The best part is he understands that as well thus he works 24/7/365 at recruiting and managing his program.

“Do you think you’ve hired the best coach in the country?” the 55-year-old Saban asked Moore.

By this time, with Moore’s agonizing, month-long quest to pry Saban away from the Miami Dolphins having finally come to fruition, the AD was feeling a bit punch-drunk. He still didn’t know his new coach very well, still found him hard to read.

“Why, Nick, of course I do,” Moore said, while thinking to himself: For $4 million a year, I sure as hell hope so.

“Well, you didn’t—I’m nothing without my players,” Saban said, locking eyes with Moore. “But you did just hire a helluva recruiter.”

Saban is not that good of a coach in my opinion, he's not a Spurrier. No way Saban could go to a school without a tradition of winning and win, only LSU and Bama where's it's easy to recruit and a history of winning.

I hate Saban, Bama, and it's elitist fanbase as much as the next person but you are just showing yourself to be an idiot with this claim. You seem to forget or not know where LSU and Bama were when Saban was hired to both schools and how quickly he turned them around.

Bitch, the Iron Bowl is NEVER irrelevant. And you know it. Bama got skull fricked. Not as bad as Georgia though.

I’m not sure that just pointing out the team’s downward spiral and deer in the headlight’s performance against auburn is anything more than just pointing out facts. I guess there have been all sorts of teams that played crappy the last quarter of the season, got manhandled by their archrival and then magically turned it around in the playoffs. Please feel free to list below:

You might take a look at Clemson last year. Close game against Troy, close game against a bad Auburn team, OT with NC State, and lost to Pitt.

Does that make you feel better?

There's a sports radio personality in Atlanta who is a Clemson grad and his current Twitter handle is The Ghost of Logan Young.

As a Clemson fan, I think this is by far the worst matchup for Clemson of the three teams. Bama will be mostly healthy, and have time to scheme for us. Our strength is our run game, and Bama can take that away better than anybody. If we had Watson and Mike Williams on the sideline, I would feel confident about this game. The closest thing we have to Mike Williams is a freshman named Tee Higgins who is still developing, but will be a star the next two years.

I see this as a close game as well. I just don't think our offense will be able to produce enough against your defense. I'm hoping our FG kicking game is on point, I know our punter will be solid and praying Saban has a good scheme planned on offense.
