And yet will have at least 4 OL next year who have been multiple year SEC starters.

Congrats on Echols and Adams, they both have potential if they receive better coaching.

Destroying our offensive line and then saying, "I want that for me," was certainly a choice.

That's only two of the starters from other programs that we have signed, with more on the way.

It'll be interesting to see how our line comes together next year with Cushing coaching them up.

Formby is young and has the frame to be an SEC starter.

To be blunt he was far too slow footed to play in our system at Tackle and too weak at the point of attack to be effective as a runblocker at Guard

Maybe with S/C and a different blocking scheme (downhill would probably be best) he can be more effective for you.

I don't have PFF, but I suspect he graded out this year as one of the least effective lineman of the last 15 years at Bama. Could be coaching or scheme fit, but hes certainly a work in process.

Peak is who I most want, though, and he's not from a SEC program.

Heard and Formby are two more SEC starters that could be at A&M next year.

The LSU kids will need a ton of that. But they're still young so there's always hope.

Thank you for the info. I wasn't counting Formby, as hasn't signed yet, I don't think.

You have to be proactive and not just assume your depth is ready to go from day one. Certain schools provided the case study of what NOT to do last year.

So you have to have a mix of HS talent that has experience in the program and portal players that have actual playing experience. SEC familiarity is a bonus. Those pieces have to be molded together.

Exactly what players has LOLSU picked up that are going to prevent this from happening again?

Word on our side was he had gotten a huge offer from A&M ($1.4M to be exact) which was what prompted him to enter the portal so that's interesting he hasn't committed.

Its also possible it was just a rumor and wasn't real, tough to tell these days.

Either way, he's a local Tuscaloosa kid and I hope he does well (just not against us).

Good luck with Baugh, braugh. He's coming from the worst OL I've ever seen assembled

Id trust Kiffin to bring in outside OL guys that work in his system far more than recycling spare parts from other broken lines within the conference.

Might not happen year one, but if he can do it at OM he'll get it done in Baton Rouge.

Be grateful.

it’s going to be hard to hate all you guys as much going forward when we basically swap complete position groups each year.
