While we technically lose a couple of important starters on defense, your post is misleading.

It isnt misleading, you are replacing 8 of 11 starters on defense, including almost your entire defensive front 6. 5 of the 6 guys who started against UGA on the DL/LB are gone. Your 2 CBs and NB who started against UGA are gone.

The general consensus is that our defense will be better,

The cases of teams replacing almost their entire defense and being better are pretty damn slim.

While experience isnt the end all be all, I dont see Texas being "there" yet where they can get decimated on one side of the ball like they are and replace a bunch of them and end up actually being better (on that side of the ball).

On the flip side Texas is also replacing the majority of its OL starters as well. That's a lot to figure out in the trenches.

Florida fans doing their best South Carolina impression this offseason, trying to repeat something baseless in hopes that it may eventually hold water through sheer force of will.

Maybe worry less about how we are doing and more about how Florida is going to do against Miami, Tennessee, Auburn, and LSU before y’all ever get to Jacksonville
