Aggie gets a lot of shite on this forum. Admittedly, I'm one of the contributors. That said, I've been to A&M for football and basketball. A&M has a lot of talent walking across the lawns on game day. Most would be surprised if they ever visited. Shorts and cowboy boots are very becoming on Saturdays.

I remember that guy…. We took a church friend to a game and he walked by… the friend said “what is that?” My dad and I laughed and said “ we have no idea”!

Thread was for fanbase, not sure the athletes qualified or not, but I guess she is a fan now.

Did you watch the LSU A&M basketball game this year?

You do realize that we do have female cheerleaders too, right? Or are you so ignorant that you believe everything you read read on secrant?

They are 3-time National Champs as well!
They do perform at home football games and basketball games.

Sorry we don't do things the way you think we should. We pride ourselves on not doing everything like everyone else does it. We enjoy our traditions whether everyone else likes it or not.

How do you think this helps your cause? "We have girl cheerleaders, we just idolize and showcase the guys"

What cause? Showing how ignorant some LoSerU fans are? That's not hard to do at all.
Sorry that some of our traditions that date back well over 100 years don't meet with your approval. Do LoSerU "idolize" their cheerleaders?

Incorrect. That’s the main campus cheer team.
The Yell Leaders are a time honored tradition — it’s not about preference, it was about the makeup of the campus when they originated before women were admitted. At a school that honors and clings to tradition, they’ve remained.
But like the Corps, which makes up only 3% of a student body of thousands, the TV cameras like to focus on what’s unique.
There’s definitely a push among many fans (especially the younger generations) to add the cheer team to the sidelines, in addition to retaining the yell leaders to lead the traditional stadium-wide yells. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit to see it happen, and I have zero issue with it.
But yes, the dance and cheer teams play a role at A&M sporting events.
